Astara-backed JMC Philippines is exhibiting its vehicle line-up this July 2024.

The automaker will display its flagship Grand Avenue at selected locations in San Juan City, Alabang, Cagayan de Oro, and Bacolod. The dates and venues are as follows:
  • July 1 to 7 – SM Bacolod
  • July 1 to 31 – SM Downtown Cagayan de Oro
  • July 3 to 19 – V Mall Greenhills
  • July 15 to 21 – Festival Mall Alabang
“The Grand Avenue promises owners adventures, blending toughness with a premium experience,” said Astara Philippines Marketing Director, Timmy De Leon. “Through our nationwide mall tour, we want more Filipinos to discover the remarkable features of the Grand Avenue,” she added. “This pick-up truck is designed to provide memorable journeys for families and adventurers alike.”

While most pick-up trucks are engineered simply for utility, the Grand Avenue offers the best in capability and refinement that allows you to haul whatever you want, without compromising passenger comfort.

Its tough and stylish exterior, emphasized by the prominent two-bar grille, is accentuated by features like automatic headlights, rain-sensing wipers, skid plates and 17-inch alloy wheels with 265/65 series tires.

The Grand Avenue is also among the largest pick-up in its class, measuring 5,450 millimeters long, 1,935 millimeters wide and 1,872 millimeters tall, with a 3,270-millimeter wheelbase. It has a generous cargo bed that is 1,546 millimeters long, 1,595 millimeters wide and 546 millimeters tall, all while boasting an 870-kilogram payload.

The Grand Avenue’s size means a palatial interior for five passengers that is designed to provide the utmost comfort.

It comes standard with leather upholstery, keyless entry with push-start button, flip-up rear seats, automatic climate control with PM 2.5 filtration, a 3.5-inch TFT digital multi-information display and a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Features exclusive to the automatic variants include a 6-way electrically adjustable driver’s seat, rear air-conditioning vents, paddle shifters and an electronic parking brake.

JMC Philippines has also loaded the Grand Avenue with a wide array of safety and convenience features like cruise control, electronic stability program, hill launch assist, hill descent control, rollover mitigation, parking sensors and a reverse distance display.

In addition, all Grand Avenues come with dual front airbags and ISOFIX child-restraint anchors, with automatic variants adding side and curtain airbags.

Powering the Grand Avenue is a 2.3-liter, DOHC 16-valve inline-4 Puma turbodiesel engine producing 177 horsepower at 3,200 rpm and 450 Nm at 1,500 to 2,400 rpm for automatic variants (400 Newton-meters at 1,400 to 2,800 rpm for manual models).

This can be mated to either a Magna 6-speed manual or a ZF 8-speed automatic. In addition, all 4x4 variants use the proven BorgWarner electronic four-wheel-drive system with  differential lock for optimum mobility on rough roads. The Grand Avenue also features a 30-degree approach angle and a 26-degree departure angle.

JMC Philippines is proud to offer the Grand Avenue with a competitive aftersales package.

JMC vehicles come with a 5-year/150,000-kilometer warranty (whichever comes first), a lifetime engine warranty for total peace of mind, and a free 24/7 emergency roadside assistance for the first year, for trouble-free journeys.

The Grand Avenue is available in Pearl White, Silver Sand Black, Cosmic Grey, Shining Silver and Sandy Brown.

  1. just realized that it kinda resembles the GMC Sierra......even the brand name, JMC........GMC

    1. Bcoz it is... copying isuzu pick up then, and now copying GMC. But its priced well, though reliabilty/durability remain to be seen.

  2. The tray looks longer than the small tray on the Hilux.
