Sales proved it, this is one of the Car in the world
ReplyDeleteAside from the looks, the trusty 1.5L engine and 4AT transmission are the main reasons this car is popular with Pinoy buyers. With proper maintenance, the older versions have already proven their worth.
ReplyDeleteI gotta ask, what's so special about it?
ReplyDeleteIts price is competitive. No good competition exists. It is a Mitsubishi. Existing Xpanders have lasted so far. That's all I can think of.
DeleteThe fact that it's a Mitsubishi is good? No good competition? What about its usual toyota or honda rivals? It's all so hazy. Still doesn't answer the question bro.

DeleteDo yourself a favor: Better do your own reserch and find out for yourself. Just be open minded.
You know, when a person is really interested on something or someone, they do their best to know a lot about it. Dont let other people influence your mind. You are in control bro.

Naging love advice bigla. Hahaha
"Naging love advice bigla. Hahaha"
DeleteOi may nakapansin...... pusuan na yan...... ♡
I guess the average filipinos are satisfied with the fossil 4AT and 10yr old model
ReplyDeleteThat 4AT is old tech, but its reliable.
DeleteNew tech does not always equate to long term reliability. Go pay to be a guinea pig by the big car companies. They must shoulder the complete development cost but no, they will make hapless and clueless customers shell out their hard earned money or take a loan while harping "new tech"... budol!
Yep, seems to be a trend for PH buyers to buy overpriced and old school tech vehicles. Just look at the top 10 best sellers! They are all old and underwhelming vehicles.
DeleteGo back to your cave tito. New tech has always been steadily introduced and mass adopted and shown to be overall beneficial for safety, convenience, and comfort (and also fuel efficiency).
DeleteEven your favorite era of car technology had its fair share of tech that was tested and didn't succeed. You were also Guinea pigs back then and you didn't even know it. š
"Yep, seems to be a trend for PH buyers to buy overpriced and old school tech vehicles. Just look at the top 10 best sellers! They are all old and underwhelming vehicles."
DeleteMost pinoys dont go for the bling!
In PH market, vehicle reliability is king!
They look for value for their kaching!
That's exactly why we get outdated, boring, uninspiring, unrefined, and slow ass cars.
Delete"Even your favorite era of car technology had its fair share of tech that was tested and didn't succeed. You were also Guinea pigs back then and you didn't even know it."
DeleteThe tech being dicussed here is obviously the transmission. The reliable 4AT is basically preferred by Xpander buyers than those crappy new tech transmissions of other MPVs. Now if you cannot comprehend this topic, who is the one who lives in caves then?
And no, we have never been a guinea pig because in the early times, we were young and has no budget yet to buy a car. Better just accept your fate after buying that crappy new tech and regretting what you paid for. lol
Walang pera bumili noon at kulang pera ngayon kaya takot bumili ng newer tech. Parang iniimagine mo lng ang regret that you keep bringing up. Go touch grass, tito.
Delete^
Deletethat's typical 3rd world poverty mentality.. sad.
"Walang pera bumili noon at kulang pera ngayon kaya takot bumili ng newer tech. Parang iniimagine mo lng ang regret that you keep bringing up. Go touch grass, tito."
DeleteNope, just protecting the hrad earner money (we dont operate like govt contractors or politicians). We are not even rich heirs. When it comes to big purchases like workhorse cars, better sure than sorry. Not gonna be a guinea pig like you embrace to be, but if you are a rich kid then it wont matter to you. Dont be prejudicial to the working class who wants value for money, not after those unproven tech.
"that's typical 3rd world poverty mentality.. sad."
DeleteYeah, tell it to the respected motoring journalist and the thousands of owners who liked the Xpander!
What you just said is also applicable to those being duped that a daihatsu is a toyota?
Let’s just say, the people who bought xpander, and the aforementioned daihatsu, or any 3rd world SUVs or pickups for that matter, are satisfied with mediocrity
DeleteAsking others not to show prejudice against you but you're the first to generalize and label people as guinea pigs for buying newer tech. Entitled mo tlga. lol
DeleteI mean, of course PH buyers wiuld buy 3rd world cars because we are in a 3rd world country. We live in a country where a Toyota Camry or RAV4 is unattainable for most and are considered as "luxury", when these are just basic cars in other countries.
Delete"Asking others not to show prejudice against you but you're the first to generalize and label people as guinea pigs for buying newer tech. Entitled mo tlga. lol"
DeleteThe guinea pig is a description of those availing new untested tech, which you would love to be one.
On the otherhand, you are prejudising those value for money peeps who doesn't want to buy untested new tech (which you are very enamored with).
Its not entitlement. Its either you are getting mixed up or you really have a reading comprehension problem?
Anyways, calling another names (i.e. tito) means you already lost the debate. Goodbye!
Goodbye, tito! š Thinking you're actually being competent and logical in this exchange and focusing on 'winning' the discussion is adorable. May you someday learn the reading comprehension you're talking about. ❤️
DeleteBest selling? Did it sell more than Toyota?
ReplyDeleteYes, Xpander dethroned the Vios for being the best selling car model in 2025 based on brand new car sales. I think this is the first time a non-Toyota is the best selling brand-new car in almost 3 decades.
DeleteMitsubishi broke Toyota's streak. Back in the 2000s, the Revo was number 1. When the Innova came out, it became number 1. Then the Vios stole the Innova's spotlight. Only in 2025 that a non-Toyota is the number 1 best selling vehicle for that year.
ReplyDeleteAvanza/Veloz should've been number one, but Toyota somehow insists that these two are different models when they are the exact same thing. Sedans are sadly losing steam in PH market.
"Avanza/Veloz should've been number one, but Toyota somehow insists that these two are different models when they are the exact same thing."
DeleteDo you mean to say: "toyota can take away the veloz from the avanza, but they cannot take away the avanza from the veloz"?
