Road safety has been a long time global and national priority. Data released by the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2018 estimate that 1.35-million lives are lost due to road accidents each year. In the Philippines, the Metro Manila Accident Reporting and Analysis System recorded 65,032 accidents with 337 deaths in 2020 in Metro Manila.
