Honda Teases Integra Anew, Shows Off Hatchback Form

After a surprising announcement made last month, Honda is continuing its tease on the all-new Integra. This time, they’ve shown off what sort of body style it will have.

Set to be introduced in 2022 as a 2023 Model Year car, the all-new fifth-generation Integra will have a five-door body style. This, according to Acura, Honda’s premium brand is down to the original Integra that was made available in both three- and five-door versions before.

While Honda hasn’t entirely ruled out the possibility of a three-door version of the all-new Integra, in its current form, it will compete against the likes of the Audi A3, BMW 1 Series, and Mercedes-Benz A-Class / CLA-Class.

The “compact premium” as Honda officially positions the Integra will likely share its underpinnings with the 11th generation Civic meaning it’ll have access to the turbocharged 1.5 and 2.0-liter engines. The possibility’s stronger though that it’ll inherit the Accord’s engines instead to differentiate it from the Civic. If that’s the case expect at least 190 horsepower for base variants, and up to 252 horsepower for the Type S.

Honda has confirmed that the launch will be sometime in 2022.
