Will You Consider This P 471k Electric Vehicle From Geely?

Geely is targeting to launch an “EV for the masses” with its Geometry EX3—the brand’s most affordable all-electric offering yet.

Just launched for the Chinese market, and also being seriously considered for global markets, the Geometry EX3 costs just 59,700 RMB or P 471,395. Yet, because it packs a 37.23 kWh battery (just a tad smaller than the Nissan LEAF), it offers a maximum cruising range of 322 kilometers. It can be charged using high-speed DC chargers from flat to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes, or by plugging into a regular 220-volt house socket. Unlike the LEAF though, the Geometry EX3’s battery is liquid cooled. This allows it to operate in extremely cold or hot temperatures—perfect for the Philippines’ tropical climate.

Sized like a sub-compact SUV (4,005 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width, and 1,575 mm in height), the five-seater Geometry EX3 is powered by an electric motor making 95-horsepower and 180 Nm. This puts it at par with conventionally powered models in its class. It comes with dual SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, reversing sensors and camera. The body, particularly its collision bars, are constructed with high-tensile steel.

The Geometry EX3 is designed with young customers in mind and for that has a two-tone black and blue interior scheme with fluorescent highlights. Furthermore, it has a 10.25-inch digital instrument gauge cluster and an 8-inch floating infotainment system with Geely’s G-Link system.

  1. An electric SUV with a 300 km range at less than P500k. This car will definitely burn the competition.

  4. 300km range is more than enough for city commute. One important factor is charging time particularly if charged using home chargers
