Can't Buy A 2022 Nissan GT-R NISMO? How About The GT-R T-spec Instead?

After showing it off in the ultimate NISMO form, Nissan is now showing two new limited edition (non-NISMO) grades of the 2022 GT-R.

Likely a response to the GT-R NISMO selling out in record time, two T-spec grades are being made available. Sadly, these are exclusive to the Japanese market.

Going on sale in the second half of October, the 2022 Nissan GT-R T-Spec is limited to just 100 units. The “T” in T-Spec means both “trend maker” and “traction master,” both of which the GT-R has in stride says Nissan.

The 2022 Nissan GT-R T-spec is distinguishable with its exclusive carbon ceramic Brembo brakes, a carbon ceramic rear spoiler, an exclusive gold-colored engine cover, and exclusive badges for the front and rear.

The Nissan GT-R Premium Edition T-spec has unique exterior bits highlighted by the bronze-colored Ray forged alloy wheels with an expanded wheel rim width.

Meanwhile, the GT-R Track Edition engineered by NISMO T-spec (yeah, that’s a mouthful) comes with a carbon fiber roof and trunk lid. While not a full-blown NISMO model, this “engineered by NISMO” grade does feature enhancements from Nissan’s go-fast division.

Also new are two colors: Midnight Purple and Millennium Jade. Midnight Purple is an advanced version of the color used on previous generations of GT-Rs and is inspired by color-shifting of the aurora borealis. Millennium Jade exudes sophistication and conveys a quiet, yet powerful presence.

The 2022 Nissan GT-R T-spec starts at 15,904,900 yen (P 7.212 million) for the Premium edition T-spec, while the Track edition engineered by NISMO is priced at 17,881,600 yen (P 8.108 million).
