The Wait for the 2019 Toyota Vios is Almost Over

The wait for the all-new Toyota Vios is almost over. Toyota Motor Philippines announces that its best-selling sub-compact sedan will take centerstage at the Toyota Music Fest happening at the Filinvest City Event Grounds on Saturday, July 28.

In celebration of Toyota Motor Philippines’s 30th anniversary, the country’s number one carmaker is bringing 14 of the best and brightest musical acts in a night of music, extravagance, and of course, all things Vios.

The Toyota Music Fest is headlined by rock legend Ely Buendia and OPM bastion Parokya ni Edgar. Joining them on stage are Spongecola, Hale, 6cyclemind, and Cueshe; as well as Ebe Dancel, Callalily, Silent Sanctuary, and Rivermaya. They’ll also be joined by the latest OPM trends IV of Spades, Ben&Ben, December Avenue, and The Ransom Collective.

Open to the public, the Toyota Music Fest will also offer a wide array of food & drink concessionaires and lucky participants will also have the chance to win raffle prizes and exclusive giveaways throughout the night’s festivities.

Gates open to the public starting 2:00 PM on Saturday, July 28. Although the Toyota Music Fest is free, concertgoers must secure their concert passes which will be distributed starting Tuesday, July 10. Announcements (including a detailed FAQ) will be posted on Toyota Motor Philippines’s official Facebook page.

  1. The word "All-new" is misleading.

    3. it's really all-new, not just a mere facelift. do your research first before commenting

    4. "ALL-NEW"... Take note if the word ALL. Kung sa tagalog pa LAHAT.

New engine ba? No. New transmission? Nope, still the same. New platform? Nope! New chassis? Noooope. Same wheelbase pa nga oh!

Then what the hell is new? New exterior, reskinned interior, slightly wider and longer. Might have improved the NVH and tweaked the suspension a bit. It's a just a super extensive facelift if you ask me. Bobo yung nagsabi na mag research daw, eh siya di nag research, toyota fanboy ata.

    5. We'll have to wait and see what the specs are for the Vios. However, it's worth noting that in Thailand, they've introduced an S variant as well for the Vios--same as the Yaris.

    6. Huh? Anong "wait and see"?

You mean to tell us that out of the blue, Toyota will come up with a new platform for this launch?

  3. It's not all-new. Just a facelift similar to the one in Thailand. No S variant though.

    1. Yes, not all-new but more than a facelift. A more accurate description is a full reskin.
Same platform, basic construction and drivetrain but with new outer surfaces and interior surfaces.

  5. The engine is too weak for the car's weight, lalo na sa 1.3 variants. Horrid fuel economy as a result. Hope Toyota fixes this.

    1. 1.3 model makes up bulk of sales coz its cheap so toyota won't be axing that anytime soon

    2. If a 1.3 vio is lacking in power, how much more the so called 1.5 gas suv's brv, mobilio, rush, xpander? Lol

    3. In fairness to Honda, that 1.5 engine is the most powerful in its class despite being SOHC, peaking at 118hp. Most don't go above 110. It's good sa City and Jazx, but yeah ewan ko sa BRV and Mobilio.

  8. I'm losing faith in the car industry today. Throwing the word all-new, misleading customers and deceiving them, thinking they bought a new product. If we're going to use the term "all-new" the way Toyota and other motor journalists use them, then the facelifted mustang is much more "all-new" than this supposedly "all-new" vios.

  9. Saw this running around singapore 2 months ago.... previous version is more pleasing imo

  10. They just announced it as all-new to comply with the CARS program of the government to rake in incentives. Don't know how they got away with it.
