Isuzu PH Quietly Upgrades Entry-Level D-Max LS for 2020

Isuzu Philippines has quietly upgraded its D-Max LS for the 2020 model year with a new wheel and tire package for better handling.

The entry-level LS variant (if you don’t count the fleet-friendly LT) now sports the same wheels and tires as the top-trim 3.0-liter LS-A. As a refresher, this means it gets the two-tone 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels wrapped in 255/60 R 18 tires—that’s up two inches from its previous 16-inch standard equipment.

New alloy wheels aside, the rest of the LS package remains the same. While it doesn’t get the LS appearance kit such as the dark gray grille, mirrors, and wheel arch extension, it does get bi-LED headlights as standard.

The 2020 D-Max LS continues to be powered by the 1.9-liter RZ4E diesel engine making 150 horsepower at 3,600 rpm and 350 Nm of torque at 1,800-2,600 rpm. Available transmission options remain the 6-speed manual or 6-speed automatic.

The new wheel and tire package has bumped up the price of the D-Max LS by P 10,000 across the board. The LS M/T is now at P 1,219,000, while the LS A/T is now at P 1,309,000. That said, Isuzu Philippines says that special promotions (including cash discounts) can be availed at all of its dealerships nationwide.
