New Car Sales Increased In November 2021, Lifts Industry Above Full Year 2020 Figures

New car sales reached a record high for the year last November 2021. According to the joint report of the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines (CAMPI) and Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA), automobile sales went up 14.2 percent to 26,456 units. This is compared to 23,162 in November 2020.

On a month-on-month basis, car sales grew 17.2 percent from 22,581 units sold in October. Passenger Car (PC) sales went up by 5.3 percent to 8,205 units, while Commercial Vehicle (CV) sales increased by 18.7 percent to 15,372 units.
