The Philippines is now one of the biggest markets for Chinese made vehicles in the world. This is according to the latest report coming from the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers.

Passenger vehicle exports surged 95 percent to around 185,000, while commercial vehicles advanced 65 percent to roughly 46,000.

Among the exported passenger and commercial vehicles, some 56,000 were electrified vehicles including full electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids, soaring 540 percent from a year earlier.

The trade group didn’t provide a further breakdown on the exports.

In 2021, China’s vehicle exports nearly doubled from a year earlier to top 2 million.
