Iconic Sportscars, New Cayenne E-Hybrid Headline Festival Of Dreams Happening This December 9-10

Porsche Philippines is set to celebrate 75 years of Porsche sportscars at the “Festival of Dreams,” scheduled on December 9 and 10 at PGA Cars along EDSA, Greenhills. Adding more significance to the milestone event are the unveiling of the new Porsche Cayenne E-Hybrid, and the groundbreaking ceremony for the state-of-the-art Porsche Center that will soon rise beside the current building.

Lined up for Porsche enthusiasts and fans expected to flock to Festival of Dreams are individualized presentations of new Porsche models in the country, as well as the opportunity for test drives. Guests can also view displays that highlight special moments from Porsche’s history, and a variety of iconic Porsche sports cars. Food trucks and plenty of outdoor and indoor dining spaces will further create a festive atmosphere.

Festival of Dreams marks the 75 years since Ferry Porsche decided to create his own sports car: On June 8, 1948, the Porsche 356 “No.1” Roadster received its license to operate on the road in Germany, officially turning Ferry Porsche’s dream into reality, and laying the foundation for what would become the Porsche legend. At present, the brand continues to reinvent itself while staying true to the values that have defined it for 75 years; with pioneering spirit and innovation at its core, Porsche remains “Driven by Dreams.”

One latest example of this pioneering spirit is the new Cayenne E-Hybrid that will be introduced at Festival of Dreams. The model expands the new Cayenne lineup launched in September, which is seeing much success locally because of its thoroughly refined powertrain, chassis, design, and equipment. With the new Cayenne E-Hybrid, Porsche Philippines debuts an electric drive system to one of its bestselling nameplates.

Powering the new Cayenne E-Hybrid is a 3.0-liter V6 turbo engine producing 304 horsepower. It is paired with a new electric motor integrated into the eight-speed automatic transmission. Together, the combustion engine and electric motor achieve a combined output of 470 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque. This lets the new Cayenne E-Hybrid to sprint from rest to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds, and reach a top speed of 254 km/h.

Besides the Cayenne E-Hybrid, the rest of the Cayenne range will be displayed at Festival of Dreams, along with assorted versions of the Porsche Macan, 718 Cayman and Boxster, Panamera, the fully electric Taycan, and the legendary 911—the direct descendant of Ferry Porsche’s dream-come-true sports car.
