Do you drive through C5 or EDSA daily? Well, this could be the last set of wheels you’ll ever need if you drive a Tesla. Unplugged Performance, an Tesla aftermarket specialist, just unveiled the Unplugged Performance UP Forged Road Warrior wheel—a set of wheels they deem to be indestructible.
The UP-RW, as the name’s shortened to, features a lightweight 6061-T6 construction and is made to fit seamlessly with factory Tesla tires making it an ideal choice for owners with factory non-staggered Model 3 and Model Ys. It comes in 19 or 20-inch sizes in a two-tone Satin Black and Satin Gunmetal finish.
The UP-RW features a replaceable aluminum Curb Guard Ring that can be easily replaced when scuffed on impact. This stealth integrated outer ring absorbs damage during curb or pothole impacts and can be swapped out without removing the tire.
The company also offers a lifetime replacement guarantee if owners manage to bend or crack a UP-RW wheel under normal use. Terms and conditions apply, of course.
Considering that aerodynamics plays a part in extending EV range, the UP-RW also has a forged aerodynamic disc that reduces drag. The UP-RW is one of the most aerodynamic wheels ever produced. Based on Unplugged Performance’s Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) data, their wheel nearly matched Tesla’s lowest drag production wheel—the 18-inch Photon Aero Covered Wheel.
