Nissan To Debut Refreshed 2026 Kicks E-Power At Bangkok Motor Show?

A Thai-based automotive publication reports that a major refresh of the Nissan Kicks e-Power is on the way. Although a next-generation Kicks has already made its debut in markets such as North America, Autolife Thailand reports that Nissan will instead go for the heavy facelift route, taking inspiration from the Brazilian market Kait.

The Kait (ASEAN market Nissan Kicks) will retain its exterior measurements but will receive a heavily revised exterior with a new hood, front fender, and front bumper. The fascia is almost entirely changed with slim LED headlights and a new horizontally oriented grille that drops the corporate V-Motion design. At the back, the new Kicks will receive a new tailgate design, new taillights, and a relocated license plate. Blade design 17-inch alloys complete the changes.

Inside, the 2026 Kicks will receive a reworked dashboard with angular AC vents. It will also receive a new center console, door panels, and a larger infotainment screen (up to nine inches in size). Sadly, one of the Kicks’ biggest weaknesses—the lack of rear vents won’t be addressed for this update. As for features, it’ll gain an electronic parking brake with auto hold on top of the usual Nissan Intelligent Mobility ADAS features remain. It will also keep its e-Power drivetrain for 2026.

For those who need a refresher, this means the EM47 (136 horsepower, 280 Nm) will drive the front wheels directly, while the HR12DE 1.2-liter 3-cylinder will act as a generator to power the 2.06-kWh lithium-ion battery.

Are you excited for the refreshed Kicks?

    2. Maintenance is every 10k kms or 6 months which ever comes first and it's pretty affordable, usually at around 6,000-7,000. For my upcoming 30k kms PMS, i'm about to have my EGR cleaned for 1.5k which is very affordable.

As with regards to the fuel efficiency, yes it's pretty much fuel efficient. I get 12.5kms/L for HEAVY bumper to bumper traffic. I get better numbers as the traffic lightens up.

  5. This is basically this model Kicks' 2nd facelift. The PHDM Kicks was already a facelift of the original design.

If I was just about to buy a car, and this latest facelift is going to be what's available, I probably wouldn't buy it. The design just lost all personality that the 1st facelift gained from the original.
