2025 Nissan Kicks Gets Bigger, More Powerful

Nissan has revealed the all-new 2025 Kicks. Sporting a bolder shape, increased technology, and a more powerful engine, this puts it squarely against the likes of the Toyota Corolla Cross, Honda HR-V, and even the Mazda CX-30.

The big news here, literally is the engine. For its debut market of the United States, it gains a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder motor with 141 horsepower and 190 Nm of torque mated to a more responsively-tuned CVT. It also comes with optional all-wheel drive for the first time.

The Kicks continues its “sneaker-inspired” styling but now it has a stronger, wider stance thanks to pronounced wheel arches. It also has a more upright and expressive grille with slim LED headlights and “hidden” daytime running lights. The rear also gets similarly-styled taillights. Optional two-tone exterior colors and wheels up to 19 inches are available. Minimum ground clearance stands at 213 mm.

The larger footprint gives the Kicks a more generous interior, especially when it comes to rear passengers and cargo. Zero Gravity seats are standard for both front and rear passengers. When it comes to infotainment, a 7-inch touchscreen is standard but grows to 12.3 inches on higher trim models. Connectivity options are via wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, up to four USB Type C chargers, and wireless device charger. The driver also receives an optional 12.3-inch screen too. The spec sheet also lists a panoramic sunroof and a 10-speaker Bose sound system.

When it comes to safety, the 2025 Kicks gets even more driver assist features including adaptive cruise control with steering assistance.

The Kicks will reach U.S. dealerships around mid this year with the rest of the world will follow.
