Mazda says orders for its all-new CX-5 has exceeded targets. The carmaker says that in its home market of Japan, orders for the third-generation compact SUV has breached 10,000 units during its first month on sale. This is more than five times the monthly sales target (2,000 units).
In keeping with Mazda’s premium strategy, 65 percent of all orders received are for the top-of-the-line grade followed by 32 percent for the mid-range variant. The base variant only got 3 percent of all orders.
In terms of colorways, the Sport Tan interior accounted for 40 percent of all orders for the top-of-the-line grade. Rhodium White Premium Metallic is the most sought-after color, with 1 out of every 4 CX-5 units being ordered in that shade.
The new CX-5 was developed with the intention of broadening its customer base. While it keeps Mazda’s signature nimble driving performance, it also has a roomier interior, improved safety performance, and a large touch-panel center display.
High praise was given primarily for its utility with customers, both young and old, noting the wider and more comfortable rear seat space. Other features enjoyed by new CX-5 customers include the wider opening rear doors and a large center display which made it feel more “fulfilling.”

ReplyDeleteIs the android-based infrastructure software good in the CX-5?
ReplyDeleteMake it a Japanese-only vehicle and get busy on a decent CX-5 for the US. People here are not buying the 2026, and you can't blame them
ReplyDeleteWow. Looks the same shit since 2013.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with after sales service. Inchcape dealership has problems with parts logistics. We have been waiting for over a month now for a simple door lock actuator. Moreover Mazda dealerships are not fully equipped, the dealership in Pasig does not even have an alignment machine and was not detect uneven tire wear of our vehicle during regular PMS. Think twice !
ReplyDeleteHow fares other brands regarding similar cases? Toyota, Honda, mitsu?
