With BYD’s DMO or Dual Mode Off-road Technology, it produces 435 PS and 650 Nm, enough for a 0 to 100 km/h time of 5.7 seconds. The dual electric motors, located at the front and back, offer that power and torque instantaneously making it the most powerful and capable truck in its segment.

With the DMO’s electric default, the Shark 6 DMO uses the electric motors at lower or cruising speeds. Pair that with a large capacity 29.6-kWh LFP Blade Battery, you can do daily commutes without consuming a single drop of gas (EV range of up to 100 kilometers). But, when you need to go the distance, there’s a 1.5-liter high-efficiency generator to help keep you going (combined range of more than 800 kilometers).

Power is nothing without control, and the BYD Shark 6 DMO shines with its robust construction thanks to a Cell-to-Chassis (CTC) construction. Independent suspension on all four corners means a comfortable, dynamic, and stable ride.

Backed up by its intelligent all-wheel drive system and high ground clearance (230 mm), it offers confidence to traverse rough provincial roads, flood-prone areas (water wading of 700 mm), and yes, even trails.

Three Drive Modes with Eco, Normal, and Sport settings help you customize your experience behind the wheel and the Multi-Terrain Mode optimizes the available traction and braking force whether you’re tackling Mud, Sand, or Snow.

Car camping becomes car glamping with the BYD Shark 6 DMO’s 6 kW Vehicle-To-Load (V2L) functionality. With 29 kW, it packs power equivalent to 97 solar cells. Access them via conveniently located power outlets, including one in the rear cargo area (220V, 15A) to power up small appliances such as fans, an induction cooker, and even a miniref.
