Priced at P 1,198,888 (P 1,148,888 introductory for the first 100 buyers), the MG 4 Urban is positioned as MG Philippines’ most affordable EV. Not to be confused with the rear-drive MG 4 (which will be updated), the MG 4 Urban is a front-driven hatchback propelled by a 163 horsepower, 250 Nm of torque electric motor, based on its government filings. Its 43.2-kWh LFP battery helps it deliver 325 kilometers of range that can be charged up to 6.6 kW on an AC charger or 82 kW on a DC charger.

Specifications include automatic LED headlights, 16-inch alloy wheels with aero covers, and 195/60R16 tires. Inside, it receives a 7-inch TFT digital display, a 12.8-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, synthetic leather seats with manual adjustments, and a wireless device charger.

On top of the introductory offer, buyers will also receive a 7 kW wall charger valued at P 30,000 for free bringing the outright savings to P 80,000.

Meanwhile, the MG RX9 PHEV is the brand’s entry in the three-row SUV space. It uses a turbocharged 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine and electric motor combo, this mid-size SUV produces 299 horsepower (143 horsepower from the combustion engine, 239 horsepower from the electric motor). No peak torque is indicated, but the electric motor puts out 390 Nm. 0 to 100 km/h is quoted at 9.6 seconds. The RX9 routes all that power and torque through the front wheels via a dedicated hybrid transmission (DHT). A 24.7 kWh LFP battery, chargeable via Type 2 AC charging, means 115 kilometers of all-electric range, supplemented by a 65-liter fuel tank.

The RX9 features independent suspension throughout and rides on two-tone 20-inch alloy wheels with 255/45R20 tires. Standard exterior equipment includes LED headlights, heated and power folding side mirrors, and satin silver roof rails. Inside, it receives a 12.3-inch TFT digital display, a 12.3-inch central touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker Bose sound system, power front seats with ventilation, heating, and massage functions (12-way with memory for the driver, 8-way for the front passenger), and tri-zone climate control with overhead vents.

Finally, there’s the MG HS PHEV. Already previewed at the previous PIMS in 2024, the MG HS PHEV will likely become the new flagship variant of the HS range.

The MG HS PHEV is powered by a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder with 143 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. This is further supplemented by an electric motor delivering 184 horsepower and 340 Nm of torque. The combined output is around 272 horsepower. Driving the front wheels via a two-speed dedicated hybrid transmission, the MG HS PHEV offers 100 kilometers of all-electric range (1,065 kilometers when combined with the fuel tank) thanks to a 21.6 kWh LFP battery.

Befitting its role as a flagship variant, the MG HS PHEV comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, a power tailgate, digital matrix LED lighting, and rain-sensing wipers outside. Inside, it offers dual zone climate control, a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, 12.3-inch infotainment screen, a 360-degree camera, and of course, the MG Pilot ADAS system.

The MG HS PHEV has an SRP of P 1,548,000, while the MG RX9 PHEV carries an SRP of P 1,998,888. Customers who reserve and purchase either model within the month of June can enjoy a cash discount of P 30,000, bringing the price to P 1,518,888 for the HS PHEV and P 1,968,888 for the RX9 PHEV. On top of this, June buyers will also be given a 7kW wall charger valued at P 30,000 for free and an additional P 10,000 retention incentive while awaiting delivery of the vehicle.
