Mitsubishi Motors Philippines listens to customer feedback and has launched the 2027 Xforce. The latest iteration of Mitsubishi’s compact crossover brings to the table added features and a new variant that enhances its value for money proposition.
How many variants are there and how much do they cost?
For 2027, Mitsubishi has grown the Xforce family from two to three variants. The Xforce GLS and GT is now joined by a new Xforce GLX entry-level variant.
Pricing starts at P 1,119,000 for the GLX, P 1,299,000 for the GLS, and P 1,661,000 for the GT. If you’re keeping score, the GLS is P 68,000 less than before, while the GT is now P 80,000 more than before.
An additional P 15,000 premium is levied on the Quartz White Pearl and P 10,000 for the two-tone colors of the GLS.
What colors are available?
The GLX comes in four monotone colors: Quartz White Pearl, Graphite Gray Metallic, Blade Silver Metallic, and new for 2027, Red Metallic. The GLS, on the other hand, comes in Jet Black Mica (new for 2027) as well as Energetic Yellow w/ Black Roof and Quartz White w/ Black Roof. Finally, the GT has a Black Roof motif as standard with Quartz White and Energetic Yellow being the only two choices.
What’s the warranty?
Standard on all 2027 Xforce is an extended 5-year warranty.
What’s under the hood?
For 2027, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines is keeping the tried-and-tested 4A91 4-cylinder MIVEC. That means having 105 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm available on tap. The sole transmission is a CVT driving the front wheels with the GLS getting cruise control and the GT getting adaptive cruise control.
An electronic parking brake with auto hold is also standard across all three variants, but only the GLS and GT get the switchable drive modes with Normal, Wet, Gravel, and Mud.
What’s standard on all Xforce variants?
The same head-turning looks have been retained for 2027. Why fix if it ain’t broke, right? Automatic LED headlights, daytime running lights, and front fog lights are standard; as are rain-sensing wipers.
Inside, all variants get a front passenger underseat tray, a driver’s knee (aka crotch) vent, rear AC vents, and a 40/20/40 split-folding second row. Oh, and yes, Active Yaw Control and Active Stability and Traction Control is standard issue.
What’s new with the Xforce GT?
Well-loved features such as the 8-inch digital driver’s display and 12.3-inch Smartphone-link Display Audio system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto have been carried over. As are the two-tone leather seats with heart guard coating, dual zone climate control with nanoe X ionization, ambient interior lighting, power tailgate, the Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing (MMSS) ADAS system, and of course, the well-loved 8-speaker Dynamic Sound Yamaha Premium system.
New for 2027 are the panoramic glass roof, 8-way power driver’s seat, and a multi-around monitor with moving object detection.
How about the Xforce GLS?
If you’re a fan of Fullmetal Alchemist, you’re familiar with the concept of “equivalent exchange.” In this case, the Yamaha sound system bids goodbye and in its place, are monotone black leather seats with the heat guard coating. Fair.
Other than that, the feature set closely mirrors the Xforce GT minus the mélange fabric dash insert, power tailgate, ambient lighting, and the ADAS. That means you have the same 360-degree camera with Moving Object Detection, cruise control (non-Adaptive), rear parking sensors, and more.
At P 1,299,000, this will likely make up the bulk of Xforce sales moving forward.
The Xforce GLX looks interesting…
It sure is. Calls for an entry-level variant to the Xforce has been answered. At P 1,119,000, it’s cheaper than the Geely Coolray Comfort, Hyundai Creta GL, Kia Sonet SX, and Toyota Yaris Cross G. And yet, it’s still well-loaded for the price point.
Naturally, luxury accoutrements like leather steering wheel, shift knob, and seats have been chucked out in favor of simpler, sturdier materials like urethane and fabric. The automatic climate control is now a digital-type manual system too. Remarkably, the rear AC vents and even USB Type A and C ports have been retained.
Plus, it still has a push button start-stop, a multi-info display, and a proper touchscreen infotainment system. Albeit the gauge cluster is about half the size (4.2-inch) and nestled between an analog tach and speedo. Meanwhile, the SDA screen drops around 4.3 inches (8 inch versus 12.3 inch), but keeps the unique “avionics” feature found in the GLS and GT. It also has a six speaker system.
And safety didn’t take a backseat either as the Xforce GLS still gets rear proximity sensors and a rear camera with dynamic guidelines.
Are there any special offers?
Until July 31, 2026, Mitsubishi Motors is offering the 2027 Xforce at a special introductory price bringing down the SRPs to P 1,049,000 for the GLX; P 1,199,000 for the GLS; and P 1,591,000 for the GT.
In order for customers to enjoy this special offer, they must complete their vehicle purchase on or before July 31.

ReplyDeleteWhat's interesting is that PH is first in the world to get these updates. The Xforce in Indonesia, where PH gets its Xforce, has not gotten these features yet (glass roof, 360 camera, power driver seat). Thailand has had the 360 cam and power driver seat but no glass roof, but that was for the Thai-made HEV model. Mitsubishi has previewed the Xforce with these features for New Zealand-spec (called Outlander Sport) but not yet in retail.

ReplyDeleteThe GLS seems to be the sweet spot, if you can get some discounts. I wonder if Mitsubishi achieved their target sales on the XForce (7k units on the first year) and if this refresh is supposed to generate more volume.
