After previewing it last July, MG Philippines has officially launched its latest all-electric SUV, the MG S5 EV. Priced at P 1,448,888 (P 1,408,888 introductory), it’ll go against the likes of the GAC Aion V (P 1,498,000), BYD Atto 3 (P 1,638,000) and Dongfeng Vigo EV (P 1,458,000).

More travelers are choosing to explore destinations at their own pace, with rental cars offering the flexibility to go beyond the usual routes and discover places that are harder to reach. According to data from Trip.com, a leading global travel agency, car rental bookings have spiked 81 percent over the past year. The growth reflects a broader shift in travel behavior: self-drive is no longer simply about getting from one place to another, but about creating more immersive and personalized journeys.

Xpeng believes “AI Mobility” will be their biggest differentiation when they launch in the Philippines this September. iCAUR Is Coming To The Philippines This October

Another Chinese car brand is entering the Philippines, and this time, it’s utilizing its boxy styling to help it stand out. Meet iCaur (styled iCAUR) which will be distributed by Omoda Jaecoo Philippines.

Hyundai is reaffirming its targeting of hitting 5.55 million units in global sales by 2030, equivalent to a 6 percent market share. And to that end, they’re investing heavily to launch new or refreshed models—over 100 of them says the Korean automaker—by the same time frame. 58 of these are for North America, 49 in Korea, 41 in Europe, 26 in India and 22 in China.
