The Philippine Car Price Guide: June-July 2016
Here’s the June-July 2016 edition of The Philippine Car Price Guide. Since there wasn’t much happening in way of car launches, this update focuses more on new variants and price adjustments. First Drive: 2016 SsangYong Tivoli, Korando, and Rodius
Anyone of a certain age will remember SsangYong. Apart from a name that read like a typo, it was infamous for slapping on a German three-pointed star on its vehicles in the late 1990’s to early 2000’s. It died a natural death, whimpering out of existence as extinct as the animal namesake of one of their nameplates. That is, until now.

UPDATED: MIAS 2016: SsangYong Returns to Philippines with 3 New Models (w/ Brochure)
UPDATE 1: We now have the brochures below (4/8).
SsangYong Motor is back in the Philippines under a new distributor: Ssangyong Berjaya Motor Philippines (SBMP). After the formal distributorship signing ceremony, SBMP went straight to work by introducing the brand and its initial offerings at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

The Manila International Auto Show or MIAS has become a summer tradition for petrol heads and car enthusiasts alike. Already dubbed the biggest motor show in the country based on floor space, this year’s outing sees 19 brands duke it out for your attention. With MIAS celebrating its 11th anniversary this year, it’s fitting to filter the 300 or so car exhibits and come up with the 10 cars you should spot during the show. Philippines, Welcome Back SsangYong Motor
The Philippines is welcoming back SsangYong Motor. The fourth largest Korean automaker has found a new distributor, Berjaya Philippines. Berjaya, the company who successfully turned around Mazda and made it one of the biggest nameplates in the country, is poised to weave its magic anew.
