LTO Gives Expiring Motor Vehicle Registrations Up to September 30 to Renew

With several major parts of the Philippines going back to Modified Enhanced Community Quarantine (MECQ) starting tomorrow, the Land Transportation Office (LTO) has issued a new advisory which further extends the registration renewal for vehicles expiring in June, July, and August 2020.

To avoid congestion at their offices and to ensure the orderly processing of transactions consistent with the requirements of social distancing, vehicle registration validity of motor vehicles with plate numbers ending in 6, 7, and 8 have been extended to September 30, 2020. This amends the previous memorandum circular which originally granted a 30 day extension.

Renewals made on or before this new deadline is not subject to any penalities or surcharges.
