Legado Motors, the official distributor of GAC Motor in the Philippines launches their own mid-sized MPV contender: the 2021 GAC GN6.
It joins a hotly contested segment, where Toyota just unveiled their refreshed Innova, and Maxus launched the G50 last year. GAC Motor though is confident that its GN6 has what it takes to fit the various lifestyles of modern Filipino families with its combination of sharp looks, a spacious interior, and a worry-free ownership experience.
The 2021 GAC GN6 features a “flying dynamics” front-end design, highlighted by the GAC Motor logo and wing-shaped daytime running lights. This is further complemented at the back by a pair of LED taillights joined at the middle for a planted look. At each corner are 16-inch alloy wheels.
For the Philippine market, the GN6 is available in three colors: Pearl White, Elegant Black, and Peacock Blue.
Measuring in at 4,780 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,730 mm in height, the GN6 comes with a generous 2,810 mm wheelbase. This provides a comfortable and spacious interior for seven adult passengers.
Cabin amenities in the GN6 include a 7-inch instrument and 8-inch LCD infotainment display that are housed in a single, continuous panel for a clean and elegant look. A 6-speaker system is standard, and doubles as noise cancelers thanks to its 360-degree Quiet Car technology. It also comes Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth hands-free connectivity as well. A sunroof is also standard as well.
Powering the 2021 GN6 is a 1.5-liter direct-injection turbocharged engine with 170 horsepower and 265 Nm of torque. This is mated to a 6-speed Aisin automatic gearbox.
The GN6 has standard four airbags, ABS with EBD, stability control with hill-start assist and hill descent control, an electronic parking brake, parking sensors with reverse camera, and a engine push-start system with smart keyless entry.
The 2021 GAC GN6 comes with a 5-year / 150,000-kilometer warranty and retails for P 1,480,000.
For reservations done until March 31, 2021 though, customers will be given a P 100,000 discount voucher. Upon payment of a P 50,000 reservation fee, customers will be given a discount voucher which can then be deducted upon the vehicle’s turnover.
GAC currently has six dealerships nationwide: Metrowalk, Pasig; Greenhills, San Juan; San Fernando, Pampanga; Tarlac City, Tarlac; Cebu; and Lanang, Davao City.

Could that Aisin 6AT be a Toyota unit same as in the previous gen Rav4 and Camry? Not surprised since GAC has partnership with Toyota and Aisin.

DeleteGAC's got ties with Toyota and Honda that's why the quality and design language of their vehicles are Honda or Toyota-like.
