Mitsubishi Motors PH To Show How The Outlander PHEV Can Power Your Home During Blackouts

Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation (MMPC) participates in the biggest EV convention and exhibition – the 10th Philippine Electric Vehicle Summit. Happening today until tomorrow (October 21) at the SMX Convention Center, Pasay City, MMPC will showcase the Outlander PHEV.

Since its introduction, the world’s first plug-in hybrid vehicle has sold over 260,000 units across Europe, North America, Japan, and Australia. With its all-electric operation for everyday use and mainly motor-powered hybrid operation for longer journey, the Outlander PHEV promotes a greener energy alternative and self-sustainability for better care of the environment.

The Outlander PHEV is the result of Mitsubishi’s long-time development of electrification technology, 4WD expertise, and Super All-Wheel Control or S-AWC technology. This vehicle offers energy efficiency and a smooth driving experience by utilizing a twin-motor 4WD system and a unique PHEV architecture.

Along with the Outlander PHEV that’s on display, MMPC is also featuring the Dendo Drive House or DDH. It is a smart-home system featuring the Vehicle-to-Home energy ecosystem. With the Outlander PHEV, a bi-directional charger, solar panels and an electric storage facility designed for home use, installing this system allows owners charge their EV or PHEV vehicle by using solar generated power. In addition, it can also act as a back-up power generator during power interruptions or other emergencies.
