  2. As we Noticed MIAS becomes the launching pad of Chinese cars invasion. 10 of 16 exhibitors are china companies. I still Love Japanese vehicles.

  3. Japanese and even Korean Car Brands are moving up the market, slowly away from the masa market. Korean cars of a decade ago are now taken over by the Chinese this decade. Same with Japanese brands 2-3 decades ago. In the next decade by the Indians (Maruti, Tata, Mahindra) perhaps? I supposed MIAS attracts such market hence, not many premium cars had joined.

    1. MIAS has always been a "masa" show. Sometimes though, you'd get to see luxury or premium brands joining.

However, because of the proliferation of Chinese brands at the show, most Japanese/European brands would rather stay away and do their own events.

The ones that remain are those who're not part of CAMPI or the timing was just right because they were about to launch something important to the market so they decided to join anyway.

    2. Indian vehicle manufacturers prefer focusing on its home market as they've got supply and order backlog issues (hello Mahindra!).
      Korean cars already moved upmarket.
I remember JMC,Chery and Foton are the Chinese car brands at MIAS 10 to 8 years ago.
      Now they've grown a lot.
