Peugeot PH Adds New, More Affordable Variants To 3008 And 5008 Line-Up

True to their promise of expanding its product line-up in the Philippines, Peugeot showcased the new Active variants of the Peugeot 3008 and 5008 SUVs.

“I am proud to announce that the Peugeot 3008 SUV and Peugeot 5008 SUV will now be available in two variants: Active and Allure. With two variants, each with its own character and persona, our discerning Filipino customers will have a wider selection of Peugeot vehicles to choose from to find the best match for their lifestyle needs,” said Peugeot brand head, Maricar Parco during the launch.

With the Allure continuing to serve as the top-grade variants for the Peugeot 3008 SUV and 5008 SUV, the Active will be the entry-point to each of these two models. The Peugeot 3008 Active is priced at P 2,090,000, while the Peugeot 5008 Active is priced at P 2,275,000.

By comparison, the Peugeot 3008 Allure is priced at P 2,255,000, while the Peugeot 5008 Allure is priced at P 2,435,000.

The Active variants are distinguishable by their partial LED taillights, body-colored mirror caps, “Eco” LED headlights, bulb-type interior lighting, a smaller touchscreen (8 from 10-inch), fabric seats, and the removal of features such as LED lighting for the cup holders, wireless charging pad, and sunroof.

In addition, the Active variants make do without the Lane Keep Assist and Blind Spot Monitoring system.

In terms of powertrain, the Peugeot 3008 Active and 5008 Active remain powered by the same engine. For that, it gets a 1.6-liter Twin Scroll Turbo High Pressure (THP) engine making 165 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque. The transmission is also the same which is a torque converter 6-speed automatic.

Further enticing would-be buyers, Peugeot Philippines is offering exclusive discounts on all reservations done during the Manila International Auto Show. This is on top of all current promos. Low-interest financing plans via Security Bank are also available.

All Peugeot models now come with a one-year free emergency roadside assistance supported by Ibero Asistencia, a global provider of roadside assistance services.

  1. In Malaysia, Peugeot 2008 higher variant had Sunroof. Don't know why here not available despite the hike price.
