Previously operated under Honda Cars Makati, Inc., Honda Cars Alabang began its operations in 1991 making it one of the longest running Honda dealerships in the country. However, as Ayala Corporation has pivoted its operations to support more of its own brands, it closed Honda Cars BGC in 2021. It was followed by the closure of Honda Cars Manila Bay. Now, it has also turned over the operations of its iconic Honda Cars Alabang to the award-winning Gateway Group.

Starting last Friday, August 1, the Gateway Group formally took over Honda Cars Alabang. Despite the new principals, the transition for customers will be seamless. Gateway reiterates that it will start to incorporate its best customer experience practices. This will make new vehicle ownership and maintenance as hassle-free as possible.

This development also signals the first Gateway Honda Cars dealership in the area. It is the group’s sixth Honda Cars dealership, joining Cainta, Cauayan, Fairview, Marcos Highway, Talisay (Cebu), and the soon-to-be-opened Manila Bay showroom—another location operated formerly by Honda Cars Makati, Inc.

A temporary 3,725-square meter showroom is in place to handle sales and service transactions. It can accommodate one vehicle and service 17 vehicles at any given time.

Honda Cars Alabang will eventually move to a new location at Km. 23 Uding’s Compound, West Service Road, Muntinlupa, Metro Manila.
