Mazda Tweaks MX-5 For 2027 With Brembo Brakes, RAYS Wheels

A decade after its launch, Mazda is keeping the fourth-generation MX-5 evergreen with subtle upgrades for the 2027 model year.

Apart from a new color, Zinc Green Metallic, which is the MX-5’s first-ever green shade, the sportscar also receives a new optional silver-colored fabric roof, at least for the soft top variant. The silver top marks a comeback since it was last introduced in 2020.

This time, however, the silver top coincides with Brembo front brake calipers (painted in silver, of course) along with Alcantara interior accents and detailing.

On the other hand, the Club model switches over from BBS to Rays wheels for 2027 and adds red Brembo brakes and Bilstein dampers. A front strut tower bar has been included too to reinforce the “agile and connected driving feel.”

Other changes include tweaks to the engine’s acoustics for a throatier engine note and a standard Driver Attention Alert (DAA) which warns of distracted driving.

Powertrain-wise, the MX-5 remains unchanged for 2027.
