2023 Chevrolet Seeker Squares Up Against The Ford Territory, Geely Coolray

Chevrolet has just unveiled what could be its answer against the Ford Territory with the all-new 2023 Seeker compact SUV.

Destined as a global compact SUV, it takes on a design motif first pioneered by the Tracker sub-compact SUV. Thus, the Seeker is meant to be expressive in an increasingly homogenized compact SUV class.

The design is characterized by both SUV and sedan styling elements, separated by a character line along the side. The upward curve of the body’s feature line and roof line creates a sense of flow. With 18-inch wheels and a raised chassis, it has a distinct and authoritative silhouette that connotes rugged capability. It is complemented by an X-shaped front and rear.

Riding on the VSS-F or Vehicle Set Strategy-F platform, the 2023 Seeker is powered by Chevrolet’s eighth-generation 1.5-liter turbocharged engine. The Ecotec engine makes 177 horsepower and comes mated exclusively to a CVT gearbox.

Slotting between the Tracker and Trailblazer, the Seeker is meant for younger vehicle buyers. As such, Chevrolet has integrated remote over-the-air (OTA) updates and functionalities such as wireless Apple CarPlay. It also comes with a flat-bottomed steering wheel and dual 10.25-inch screens. The infotainment screen is tilted towards the driver at 9 degrees. It also has perforated leather surfaces on the instrument panel as well as power ventilated/heated seats, and a power tailgate.

The Seeker is also the first SAIC-GM product equipped with the Tune Dynamic or TD sound system. This provides an all-new auditory experience for both driver and passengers.

While the 2023 Seeker will be sold first in China, it is a global model and will exported to global markets (likely including the Philippines) in the near future.

    5. Optra and Captiva are 2000's GM Daewoo vehicles. 🤣
Nothing beats the defective Ford Focus,Ecosport,Ranger,Everest and Fiesta made in Thailand when it comes to very poor reliability 🤣

    8. Ford,Dodge,RAM and Jeep are way unreliable than Chevrolet..🤣
General Motors improved the quality of its vehicles a lot that's why they're still doing well in Latin American,Chinese and American markets.
GM learned a lot from its mistakes 15 years ago that's why they've improved a lot.

    10. Chevrolet has always been synonymous with unreliability. Just ask anyone what they think of Chevrolet. 9 out of 10 people will probably say UNRELIABLE PILES OF JUNK. The other 1 out of 10 are people like the jokers above.

    11. Check out the latest Consumer Reports most unreliable cars - 2nd and 3rd are Ford Explorer and Mustang, with scores of 8/100 and 9/100, respectively. 4th and 5th though are Chevy Silverado and Corvette.

    12. 1st place (the least reliable with a score of 5/100) is the MB GLE in case you're wondering.

    1. TCCCI Chevrolet doesn't care anymore about competing with Ford as they've focused on competing with Jeep and Dodge
They're not into volume sales anymore as MG handles that.
TCCCI doesn't even mind anymore if the number of Chevrolet dealerships decreased as they prefer the brand to be low key.
