2023 Toyota Hilux GR Sport Adds One Sought-After Feature (w/ Specs)

Toyota Motor Philippines has finally heard you: it’s adding one sought-after feature for the 2023 Hilux, at least for the top-of-the-line Hilux GR Sport.

You can check out the full specs of every variant below, but it’s worth pointing out that the 2023 Hilux GR Sport now has standard rear AC vents. This will (hopefully) shut up complainers who’ve been pointing out that lacking feature since time immemorial.

Aside from properly cooling the loins of rear occupants, the Hilux GR Sport also adds Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) that bundles pre-collision alert and braking, lane departure alert, and adaptive cruise control. Moreover, it gets blind spot indicators with rear cross traffic alert too.

For 2023, the Hilux GR Sport is still available in just three shades: Emotional Red, Attitude Black Mica, and Super White II.

If you find the Hilux GR Sport a bit too rich for your tastes (it does cross the P 2-million mark), the rest of the Hilux variants from the E upward gets updates too.

The E now gets Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The G, meanwhile, now adds a tailgate assist (it makes opening and closing of the tailgate easier) and bedliner as standard. The Hilux Conquest also adds Toyota Safety Sense minus anything that doesn’t point forward (blind spot indicators and rear cross traffic alert).

As for hues, Nebula Blue Metallic, Orange Metallic, and Crimson Spark Red Metallic have been discontinued. These shades will be replaced by Oxide Bronze Metallic and Dark Blue Mica exclusively for the Hilux Conquest.

Again, check out the full spec sheet below, but as for the pricing:
  • Toyota Hilux 4x2 E MT – P 1,156,000
  • Toyota Hilux 4x2 G MT – P 1,285,000
  • Toyota Hilux 4x2 G AT – P 1,361,000
  • Toyota Hilux Conquest 4x2 MT – P 1,468,000
  • Toyota Hilux Conquest 4x2 AT – P 1,544,000
  • Toyota Hilux Conquest 4x4 MT – P 1,844,000
  • Toyota Hilux Conquest 4x4 AT – P 1,919,000
  • Toyota Hilux GR Sport 4x4 AT – P 2,039,000

  1. It's kinda sad that the rear AC vents are just for the GR Sport grade, they should have offered it as well for the Conquest, G and E variants as well.

    1. Yes and also the Hilux J Double cab (both 4x2 Low Cab and 4x4 High Cab) should have get Power Windows and Door Locks tbh...

    2. UnknownPanda Agreed and TMP should also introduce the V grade, slotting between the Conquest and G. By adding the V into the PH Hilux range, it should have the carryover features of the G with some features from the Conquest such as the, smart entry, LED lighting, the same 8-inch infotainment screen, TSS, PVM, 18-inch rims, 2 engine options (2.8 and 2.4) etc...

    3. The Conquest is actually the V. You'll notice that by looking at the tailgate badge. It was just renamed to Conquest for the local market.

    4. No, I was actually referring to the regular V (the non-Conquest) which other markets such as Indonesia has a V grade Hilux, I would like TMP to consider bringing this grade to the PH market just to fill in the void in the local lineup.

    1. Not just funny but sad, too. Rear AC was available in other regions at launch in 2015 for the current body. Seven years passed and it has only trickled down (here in PH) to the top-spec GR-S (only). To think that even less expensive cars in their lineup have rear AC vents, it puzzles me why TMP hasn't equipped the HILUX with airconditioning at the back.

    2. thats infuriating to know, and i think i know why, filipinos buy whatever they sell, so why bother right?

  3. I'm quite surprised it took this long for Philippines to get the rear AC vents when other markets have had it for years already. Better late than never I guess.

  4. Toyota Phils. at its best - piece meal upgrades. Filipinos should not patronize brands that do not give us modern car features & amenities.

  5. So if you want a hilux with rear aircon vents, you need to pay 2 million, equipping this truck with such vents must be gold-like! Sorry conquest and g, it's not your turn yet! C'mon tmp!

  6. How about usb ports for the rear passengers?

  7. Off topic. How about the price increase on Toyota Fortuner particularly the very bare base variant G? Fortuner E aka Fortuner G with no upgrade.
