PIMS: Isuzu PH's Entire Line-Up Can Do More Than 1,000 Kilometers On A Full Tank

With diesel running at close to all-time highs, Isuzu, the world’s leading expert on diesels, is touting the performance and fuel efficiency of their entire line-up at the 8th Philippine International Motor Show (PIMS).

As Isuzu Philippines Corporation (IPC) celebrates its 25th anniversary this year with their Road to Progress vision, they’ve taken sustainability and responsible partnership as part of their core values. Beyond just providing durable and reliable vehicles, IPC can now say that they’re offering the most fuel-efficient line-up in the country with every single model they offer capable of traveling more than 1,000 kilometers on a tank fuel.

The D-MAX pickup truck and the mu-X mid-sized SUV were both subjected to the One Full Tank Challenge, and the results were revealed to the public for the first time at PIMS.

After a five-day road trip with both models driven normally, traversing different road, traffic, and weather conditions from Subic up to Ilocos then down to Bicol, the D-MAX was able to travel 1,564 kilometers (20.58 km/L), while the mu-X did 1,675 kilometers (20.94 km/L) in one full tank. These results were verified by the Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP).

These results are on top of a previous One Full Tank Challenge featuring the light-duty truck, Traviz traveling 1,063 kilometer (21.26 km/L), while the NLR85E doing 1,234 kilometers (16.45 km/L).

Moreover, IPC also showed off their all-new GXZ 10-wheeler tractor head at PIMS.

The Isuzu GXZ is equipped with the latest safety features like the electronic vehicle stability control and the anti-lock braking system, adding to the list of ‘solutions’ that Isuzu offers to meet the growing demand for safety in the trucking industry.
