Porsche World Road Show Returns To Indonesia With Exhilarating On-Track Action

The highly anticipated Porsche World Road Show (PWRS) returns to Indonesia at the Sentul International Circuit from February 3 to 10, offering sports car enthusiasts the thrill of piloting up to 27 Porsche sports cars on a purpose-built racetrack alongside other off-road driving activities.

26 Porsche sports cars from all model ranges were initially earmarked to be at the event, including the all-new, razor sharp 718 Cayman GT4 RS. However, a late but highly welcome addition was also confirmed after the initial dates for PWRS Indonesia were announced: participants at the biggest driving event in Indonesia this year will also be the one of the first in the region to experience the rush of the 992-generation 911 GT3 RS–a car purpose-built for performance for which there is no substitute.

PWRS is a professional driving event organized by Porsche AG, and has been held in over 45 countries around the world to date. Expert driving instructors from Porsche, together with professional co-instructors from Indonesia, utilize a fleet of Porsche sports cars specially flown in from Germany to curate a rare opportunity to experience the famed driving prowess of Porsche sports cars in a safe and controlled environment.

PWRS Indonesia 2023 is being held at Sentul International Circuit, a 3.965-kilometer long track with a 900-meter long main straight and dramatic tight corners. Here, participants can experience Porsche sports car fascination to the fullest extent, while honing their own driving skills in the process.

The comprehensive Porsche line up on offer ranges from the all-electric Taycan, the iconic 911, the sporty Boxster and Cayman models, the luxury sports sedan Panamera, the Macan and Cayenne SUV models, and popular plug-in hybrid variants of selected models. As particularly exciting highlights, the all-new 992-generation 911 GT3 RS and the 718 Cayman GT4 RS will also be present, ready to thrill one and all with their purpose-built RS (Renn Sport, or “racing sport”) characteristics.

“We are very proud to be the first country to kick off the Porsche World Road Show this year. The best way to experience a Porsche is to get behind the wheel and feel first-hand the adrenaline rush it brings on the track, and PWRS is the ideal platform for this. Through the various driving sections such as handling, braking, slalom, and off-road, we aim to enhance the driving skills of each participant under the expert guidance of professional Porsche driving instructors,” said Alexander Riedel, General Manager of Porsche Indonesia.

“PWRS participants will also be the first in the Asia Pacific region to get behind the wheel of the thrilling new 911 GT3 RS, which will be delivered to customers in Indonesia in the upcoming months,” added Mr. Riedel.

Whilst participants will have the Porsche fleet at their disposal, Porsche owners have the opportunity to hone their skills and explore the potential of their very own cars under the guidance of certified Porsche driving instructors.

“We truly believe that PWRS will not only give customers the unique opportunity to drive their cars safely on the track, but also take key learnings home. Customers will receive a Porsche certificate at the end of the event as a tangible takeaway, but more importantly, they will also come away with new skills as well as unforgettable memories from this unique Porsche driving experience.” Mr. Riedel concluded.

With limited slots available due to high demand, PWRS bookings can be made at Porsche Centre Jakarta or Surabaya, or online.
