The 2023 Range Rover Sport Starts At P 13.490M

A day before its official Philippine reveal, Coventry Motors Corporation, the exclusive distributor of Land Rover has spilled the beans on the specifications and prices of the all-new 2023 Range Rover Sport.

After revealing that it will be available in both Plug-In Hybrid and Diesel flavors last year, the Range Rover Sport for the Philippines has now been confirmed with these two engine choices. The range starts out with the Range Rover Sport SE D300 which packs a 3.0-liter diesel producing 300 horsepower and 650 Nm of torque, while the top-of-the-line Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE P440e gets an electrified 3.0-liter gasoline making 440 horsepower and 620 Nm of torque. Both 6-cylinder engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic with intelligent all-wheel drive.

And because of taxes that favor electrified vehicles, the Range Rover Sport Dynamic SE P440e is the “entry-level” variant priced at P 13,490,000, while the Range Rover Sport SE D300 is priced at P 13,990,000. The same Dynamic pack available on the Range Rover Sport D300 bumps the price up to P 14,790,000.

The Range Rover Sport embraces a modernist approach with its uncluttered and flushes surfaces. The dramatic proportions are meant to accentuate its distinctive presence, while its short overhangs command a strong, imposing road presence.

The front features a “stealth-like” grille with the slimmest headlights ever fitted to a Land Rover model. The bumper itself features a double-aperture bisected by a body-colored horizontal element for greater visual width. Meanwhile, at the back, the tailgate features a full-width garnish incorporating the Range Rover script. The rear light graphics also have an uninterrupted look—the first such application in a production vehicle. 22-inch wheels come as standard.

The Dynamic trim is differentiated by its Satin Burnished Copper finishes on the hood vents and side ingots, while the front grille and Range Rover lettering are finished in Matte Graphite Atlas. The wheels, also in 21-inch diameter, are finished in Satin Gray.

Riding on the same MLA-Flex architecture as the Range Rover, the Range Rover Sport has had its ride and handling calibrated to make it the most engaging and dynamically capable vehicle the brand has produced. The Integrated Chassis Control governs a comprehensive suite of innovations including switchable-volume air suspension (Dynamic Air Suspension) and an active roll control system. The Terrain Response 2 automatically detects the surface and terrain to adapt the chassis to best deal with the situation, prompting and informing the driver via the infotainment screen.

Inside, the strictly five-seater Range Rover Sport has the trademark Range Rover Commanding Driving Position that offers an unparalleled view of the vehicles’ immediate surroundings. Both the SE and Dynamic SE models feature 20-way electric heated/ventilated front seats and perforated Windsor Leather seats with winged headrests, as well as dual zone climate control, and cabin ambient lighting. At the center is a 13.1-inch curved display touchscreen powered by the brand’s Pivo Pro infotainment system. Up to 90 percent of tasks can be done with just two taps on the screen, and can be updated regularly via Software Over The Air or SOTA updates. Wireless Apple CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, and a Meridian sound system are standard.

In terms of safety features, the all-new Range Rover Sport comes with an Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) which fits Emergency Braking, 3D Surround Camera, including front and rear parking sensors, Wade Sensing, Adaptive Cruise Control, Driver Condition Monitor, and Lane Keep Assist, among others.

The all-new Range Rover Sport is exclusively produced at the Solihull Manufacturing Facility in the UK alongside the Range Rover, on a state-of-the-art production line housed in the same building used to produce early Series Land Rovers. The historic location is the spiritual home of Land Rover and its reimagining as a new, ultra-modern center for Range Rover and Range Rover Sport production epitomizes the way the company protects and celebrates its unique heritage.

  1. why did they release their press materials ahead of the official announcement? no embargo indicated? wooops

    1. There was. But we got our material outside of the official press release. They did send the press material a while later indicating an embargo time, but it was too late.

  2. hahahaha that comment obviously shows you're not the market of this post, kuliglig

  3. You buy range rovers because you have nothing better to do with your money than burn it. They are notorious money pits.
