Warranty, Dealerships, Vehicle Prices: Everything You Need To Know About Jetour In The Philippines

Jetour has officially landed in the Philippines as the newest automotive player to establish a local presence.

A collaboration between two of the Philippines’ biggest dealership groups—the Goho’s Gateway Group and the Licup’s AutoSpeedyGo, Jetour is set for a public debut at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) in April.

Before then, Jetour Philippines has firmed up its plans to establish at least 6 dealerships during its first year of operations: Manila, Alabang, Quezon City, and San Juan in the National Capital Region; Cebu in the Visayas region; and Davao for the Mindanao region.

Along with those plans, the newly-established company barred its line-up which is composed of the QQ Ice Cream EV, X70 Journey, X70 Plus, and the Dashing.

All vehicles will carry a 6-year / unlimited mileage comprehensive warranty package, while a 10-year engine warranty covers all of its internal combustion engine offerings.

In a unique twist, the most affordable model in the line-up is the all-electric Jetour Ice Cream EV. Priced at P 699,000, it is now the cheapest EV available locally.

The two-door, four-seater mini EV (2,890 mm long, 1,496 mm wide, and 1,637 mm tall) is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor making a modest 27 horsepower and 85 Nm of torque. But with just 743 kilograms to push around, it does have a rated top speed of 100 km/h. The electric motor draws its power from a lithium iron phosphate battery giving it a cruising range of up to 170 kilometers on a single charge.

The minimalist EV has 12-inch steel wheels (145/70R12 tires), a infotainment system integrated into the LCD instrumentation, air conditioning, a USB charging port. For safety, it has a reverse camera.

Moving up, there’s the Jetour X70 Journey. Their entry in the entry-level or small SUV category, the X70 Journey is sized more like a compact SUV. Yet, the 7-seater SUV is priced at just P 1,099,000.

The Jetour X70 Journey is powered by 1.5-liter turbocharged direct injected engine developed in-house by Chery (Jetour is a division of Chery, after all). Featuring an integrated exhaust manifold and variable valve timing, it makes 156 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 4,000 rpm.

The engine features an integrated exhaust manifold and together with its variable valve timing system, it makes 156 horsepower at 5,500 rpm and 230 Nm of torque from 1,750 to 4,000 rpm. This is mated to a CVT with 8 virtual gears driving the front wheels.

Moving up, there is the X70 Travel which adds a panoramic sunroof and larger wheels (20 inches from 18) for P 1,259,000, while the X70 Sport dons a luxurious brown interior, power tailgate, and a panoramic sunroof. This one is priced at P 1,299,000.

Moving up, there’s the Jetour X70 Plus. Riding on the same platform and using the same engine as the X70, but swapping the CVT for a 7-speed wet-type dual clutch and the hydraulic power steering for an EPS unit. The 7-seater X70 Plus (4,749 mm long, 1,900 mm wide, and 1,720 mm tall) is about the same size as the Chery Tiggo 8 Pro. However, compared to the Chery, this one is priced considerably lower with a P 1,499,000 price tag.

The Jetour X70 Plus has LED headlights, 20-inch wheels, dual LCD screens, an electronic parking brake, a panoramic sunroof, power adjustable seats with heating and ventilation, and a power tailgate among a host of other features.

Finally, capping off the launch range is the Jetour Dashing. The Dashing is a 5-seater compact SUV with design cues reminiscent of a Lamborghini Urus. The sharp LED DRLs and angular headlights give it an aggressive look backed up by the high-tech appeal of pop-out door handles and large alloy wheels.

The Dashing’s P 1,329,000 price tag means it comes fully loaded with power adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, a 6-speaker Sony sound system with integrated headrest speakers, a wireless mobile phone charger, a panoramic sunroof, and a full suite of advanced driver assist. Power also comes from a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine with 156 horsepower and 230 Nm of torque. A 6-speed dual clutch drives the front wheels with Eco and Sport modes.

  4. I'm curious how is Dashing positioned here? Size wise this vehicle is smaller than X70 and X70 plus. Price wise this is in the middle of X70 and X70 Plus. Selling point, this is a low cost Urus?
