All-Electric Ford Mustang Mach-E Makes Philippine Debut With P 3.499M Price Tag

Surprise! Ford isn’t just launching the Territory Hybrid today, but they’ve also used the opportunity to launch their very first battery electric vehicle, the Mustang Mach-E.

Available in the Premium trim, the solitary variant offered by Ford Philippines packs a 98.7-kWh (88-kWh usable) lithium-ion nickel cobalt manganese battery giving it 550 kilometers of range. Hooked up to dual electric motors, it offers a combined output of 394 horsepower (290 kW) and 676 Nm of torque. This also gives it electronic all-wheel drive.

The Mustang Mach-E harks back to classic Mustang muscle car cues for its styling including its long hood, powerful rear haunches, aggressive headlight design, and its trademark tri-bar taillamps. It sports standard 225/55R19 alloy wheels.

It comes in five colors: Glacier Gray, Star White, Shadow Black, Velocity Blue, and Grabber Yellow.

Yet, underneath it rides on an all-new electric architecture that allows Ford engineers to place the battery inside the underbody maximizing space and cargo. Moreover, it nets another surprise: a drainable front trunk (frunk) storage unit.

Again, the bespoke platform has allowed Ford to free up plenty of interior room. The driver receives a 10.2-inch digital gauge cluster. At the center is a large 15.5-inch portrait style infotainment screen with simplified menus. It also recognizes smartphone gestures such as touch, swipe, and pinch controls. A 10-speaker Bang & Olufsen speaker system, seamlessly integrated across the front, floats above the air vents like a sound bar. Meanwhile, the fixed panoramic glass roof contains a special coating with infrared protection. This helps the interior stay cooler in warmer weather.

Other standard features include 10-way heated power adjustable front seats, dual zone climate control with rear AC vents, wireless charger, and a power tailgate.

As for safety, it comes with 9 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, pre-collision assist with autonomous emergency braking, lane keeping aid with evasive steer assist, blind spot monitoring, intelligent adaptive cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and tire pressure monitoring system.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E is priced at P 3,499,000 and comes with a 5-year warranty, 8-year high-voltage battery warranty, a complimentary wall box charger, and a portable charger. It becomes available at select dealerships this September.

  1. The current Mach E is inferior to the soon to arrive Model Y Performance. The Model Y also has sold so many more Model Y Performance units, and the Model Y a track record. Why would one pay P200K more for an overall inferior vehicle?

Ford Philippine's Product Development/Marketing are way off on this one.

    1. Because I prefer the most honest vehicle brand like Ford over a brand with ties to politics like Tesla.

    2. For those who allow their personal biases on people to play a major role in their choices that's up to them. However, I don't believe such types of comments contributes anything positive here.

      Good day everyone.

  2. AGREED, the premium should be at 3M, AND the GT that I've been waiting for should be at 3.5M.... Meaning that even if i was willing to wait more for the GT ( which may not even arrive..., still waiting for the mustang gt v8 Convertible!!!), Ford will price it at 4M which is ridiculous when compared to the models offered by Tesla. I'm not even mentioning the Chinese cars which ARE way cheaper But have no real history yet regarding quality, maintenance, residual value.
Cheers Ford for really missing your target and basically sending many potential customers towards Tesla.

    2. Google - dishonesty by Ford USA - . Here are some excerpts that appear .-

"Ford Motor Company has faced accusations and penalties related to dishonesty, particularly concerning delayed recalls and misleading information. One instance involves a $165 million fine for failing to promptly recall vehicles with defective rear-view cameras and providing inaccurate information."

      "Ford Pinto Scandal:
The Ford Pinto case from the 1970s, while not directly related to dishonesty, involved a design flaw that led to fuel tank ruptures and fires in rear-end collisions. Ford was criticized for knowingly selling a vehicle with a dangerous defect. While not directly dishonesty, the company's decision-making process was heavily scrutinized for prioritizing cost-saving over safety."

I believe the above 'Ford Pinto Scandal" is worse than dishonesty as it costs injuries or lives, or both.

According to an article searched in Google "Ford agrees to pay $19.2 M to settle false advertising claims" sometime in 2022.

The fact that the above information exists today without any filed Defamation Suit against Google by Ford indicates that the above statements are likely true & correct .

So much for Ford being an "honest carmaker".
