Denza PH To Show Off B5 And B8 SUVs At MIAS. Initial Specs Have Been Revealed

Just months after its entry into the Philippine market, Denza will make a big splash at the Manila International Auto Show 2026.

Marking its first major auto show participation, Denza will highlight its newly launched Denza D9 alongside the Z9 GT high-performance shooting brake.

The brand will also offer a glimpse of what’s next, previewing the anticipated Denza B5 and Denza B8. These additions represent the brand’s continued push to expand its portfolio and cater to a wider range of driving needs and lifestyles.

The B5 and B8 feature advanced powertrains designed for performance and versatility. The B5 has a 1.5-liter turbocharged generator (183 horsepower) paired with dual motors with 686 horsepower and 760 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the B8 comes with a more robust 2.0-liter turbocharged generator (245 horsepower) also with dual electric motors for 611 horsepower and 760 Nm.

Both models utilize BYD/Denza’s Super DMO Technology, delivering strong and confident performance—whether in the city or beyond paved roads. The B8 offers a combined range of up to 1,040 kilometers (115 kilometers of it in pure electric mode based on NEDC standards), while the B5 can reach up to 975 kilometers (100 kilometers in pure electric mode based on NEDC standards).

The B8 also comes standard with the brand’s DiSus-P active suspension system with adjustable ride height.

Besides power, both models are speced to the brim. For exterior features, the Denza B5 features advanced matrix LED headlights, rain-sensing wipers, sound insulating glass, panoramic sunroof, soft-closing rear door, and 265/65R18 tires. Inside, it has a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, 15.6-inch center control screen, dual zone climate control with rear vents, a built-in refrigerator, 16-speaker Devialet speaker system, power front seats with built-in ventilation and massagers, and DiPilot ADAS.

On the other hand, the Denza B8 comes in two variants—the Dynamic and the Premium. Both offer three rows of seats, but the Dynamic has a 7-seater configuration (2+3+2), while the Premium has a more luxurious 6-seater configuration (2+2+2). Exterior features somewhat echo the B5 but come with 275/55R20 wheels and tires. Inside, you get a 12.3-inch LCD instrument cluster, a 17.3-inch center console screen, tri-zone climate control with rear vents, a built-in refrigerator, 18-speaker Devialet speaker system, power front seats with built-in ventilation and passengers, power second- and third-row seats, and DiPilot ADAS.

The Denza B5 comes in six colors: Glacier Blue, Juniper Green, Granite Gray, Eclipse Black, Alpine White, and Leopard Gold, while the Denza B8 comes in five: Nebula Silver, Alpine White, Eclipse Black, Emerald Green, and Dawn Gold.

“We’re incredibly excited to meet more people at this year’s Manila International Auto Show and let discerning customers discover for themselves a smarter, more refined, and truly premium way of moving. We look forward to welcoming everyone to the Denza booth,” said Adam Hu, Country Head of BYD and Denza Philippines.

Toyota will appoint Akio Toyoda's former secretary as the new CEO to reshape its leadership as pressure from fast-growing Chinese rivals.

  2. Coincidentally, I just saw a Denza D9 earlier today. Didn’t even bother gawking at it since I mistook it for a BYD eMax 9. Only noticed it was a Denza after it passed by when I saw the Denza lettering on the tailgate. Just goes to show how similar both vehicles look like.

  3. The b5 seems a better value than a pure expensive gas guzzler prado.

    1. Prado buyers surely won’t mind fuel costs, they are more on its quality and prestige. if someone doesn’t have enough money and can’t afford a real Prado he can opt for a wannabe low quality low prestige Denza

    2. Wrong. Prado buyers already mind the fuel costs, especially nowadays. Rich people already changed their lifestyle and mindset, they've become open to premium/luxury Chinese brands such as Denza and Zeekr due to their PHEV and BEV powertrain tech.

Try trlling what you said to the Aussie buyers, you'll be based in their soc med pages. Denza B5 and B8 sales are doing good Down Under, with a few reputable Aussie car sites providing data that the B5 is attracting the Prado buyers there.

    3. Oh the guy who based his opinion on tons of YouTube, diehard YouTube believer, you should know enough that most products YouTubers are paid influencers😅. non sense to compare , Australia is kangaroo country while Philippines is carabao. Kangaroo can afford to waste money on new unproven products while carabao not crazy rich enough to do it. Below 2M some carabao will but above 2M very few.

    4. I do own 3 Chinese PHEVs for more than a year already. One already has lots of mileage. Never been happier with our purchase. Tsaka with those Youtubers who happened to own Chinese PHEVs and BEVs, they have no issues. Tsaka the market is shifting now, if konti lang bumibili ng more than 2M na Chinese car, can you explain why tbere are a lot of Tang DM-is and eMAX 9s on the road? Can you also explain why BYD's more than 2M PHEVs are sold out and have a long waiting list now? Care to explain why the Jetour T2 i-DM which is priced at 2,488,000 now has a long waiting time and long line of clients?

Panay ad hominem lang alam mo eh

The moment you try and argue specifics sa kanya or point to video evidence he will try and spin everything you say as not credible (in the stupidest ways usually and with lots of cringe lines) either that or he will disappear kasi hindi nya ma support yung mga claims niya. Walang real-world experience ata yan, hindi nya alam na ang bilis mag cofirm sa mga dealers regarding waitlists at akala nya paid influencers ang nasa youtube (kahit well known journalists/mechanics sila).

Sadly, I don't think his type is the kind to learn from people trying to teach him what's what.

    6. Reuters news: Byd march 2026 sales down by 20% vs 2025 march. The 7th month sales decline in a row, overseas sales byd malakas kasi di pa bistado na mahina quality.

    7. Ay si Byd fanboy nagpapakampi kay jc. Di ba ikaw yong nagmalaki ng fuel range ng byd seal 5 na Yong real world fuel test ay ginawa mo during Holy Week holiday na halos walang cars sa kalsada😅. Stop crying fanboy, learn to stand on your own feet. Jetour sold 153 units last February 2026 a meager .43% of CAMPI total. See kahit jetour T2 pa lahat yan nasa waiting list very few parin.

      Delete
    8. Too bad walang lumabas na mahina quality about sa BYD in any Reuters news. Kahit anong pa Google mo pa. Bistado ang gawa-gawa lng na panira. lol

      Delete
    9. Dude, the point of the fuel range example was talking about the PHEV technology. IDGAF about the actual companies. I own a Toyota (a 2001 Corolla GLi) too but I ain't simping. At the same time, saktohan lng trust ko sa brand/tech to buy the product. Pilit mo gawin fanboy ibang tao (projection much?) lol. Ad homimen ka nmn ("personalan" if you're too prideful to Google that).

Btw, southern Negros Occidental yung route. Province na nga kami so our traffic is the same. The constant sugarcane trucks on the road create the normal traffic conditions.

I suppose pinatago yung units nila sa empty showrooms for some reason?

Again, I don't give a F about how well or bad BYD is doing. I just know they'll be around kahit paano mo pa pilit sirain (go ahead but you plain suck at real argumentation).

I'm standing fine. 😘 You need to step back into reality. 😂

  5. Denza, sounds like Avanza

    ReplyDelete
    Replies
You have no idea how tempting that is for those who don't have the unli budget.

    2. Alphard miles better than OVERPRICED, low quality, low prestige Denza9. Stop comparing Denza to Lexus, it’s nonsense.

    3. Some people lack the sense that enables other people to get rich. To others it's a nonsense move, to them it just makes sense.

Sa laki insistence ng isa to, I doubt he's ever sat in either car. lol
