Ford PH Adds New 2026 Mustang Mach-E RWD Variant For P 2.599M

Ford Philippines is charging ahead in its electrification journey with the addition of the limited-edition Ford Mustang Mach-E Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant in its electric vehicle (EV) line-up, complementing the Mustang Mach-E All-Wheel Drive (AWD) launched last year.

The Mustang Mach-E RWD is available at a starting retail price of P 2,599,000 as Ford is extending a P500,000 cash discount from its standard retail price of P 3,199,000 and an additional P 100,000 cash discount for the Grabber Yellow color.

Designed for drivers who prioritize range and a classic driving feel, the Mustang Mach-E RWD is powered by a single permanent magnet motor that drives the rear wheels. This variant produces 276 horsepower and 525 Nm of instant torque. And by utilizing a single motor, the RWD model improves energy consumption, providing a longer estimated driving range of as much as 615 kilometers on a single charge—perfect for city commutes and long weekend drives.

Like the Mustang Mach-E AWD, the Mustang Mach-E RWD has three selectable drive modes (Whisper, Engage, and Unbridled) and a 1-Pedal Drive system.

The RWD variant comes with a frameless grille with active shutters, LED projector headlights with automatic leveling, sequential turn signal lamps, and 19-inch machine-finished alloy wheels.

Inside, perforated ActiveX synthetic leather seats offer 10-way power adjustment for both driver and front passenger. Heated front seats, dual-zone electronic automatic temperature control, and rear air vents keep the cabin comfortable in all conditions.

A 10.2-inch low-profile digital instrument cluster displays essential information in a clear, uncluttered format. The 15.5-inch capacitive touchscreen runs SYNC 4A with enhanced voice recognition and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other conveniences include an auto-dimming rearview mirror and a wireless charging pad.

Load space behind the rear seats is 402 liters and behind the front seats (when the rear seats are folded down) of 1,420 liters of load space is complemented by a front trunk (‘frunk’) storage unit made possible by the absence of a combustion engine under the bonnet. Providing an additional 80 liters of storage space, the front trunk or ‘frunk’ provides a convenient space to store wet or muddy sports clothing, hiking boots or beach gear after an adventure.

Similarly, the Mustang Mach-E RWD comes equipped with Ford App. With Ford App, owners can manage their Mach-E right from their mobile devices. Features include Remote Start / Stop /Climate, EV Charging Status, Battery States of Charge, Charge Session Details, Start / Stop Charging, Target Charge, Departure Times, Preferred Charge Times, Charge History and AC Charge Rate.

The Mustang Mach-E RWD is sold via select dealerships namely, Ford Alabang, Ford Balintawak, Ford Cebu, Ford EDSA, Ford Global City, Ford Libis, and Ford Marikina.

    1. Don't think so. Earlier batches had some issues but I think the newer ones got more polished. Electric vehicles are generally more reliable than gas engines. You'll only get headaches after 10 years when you need to replace the battery.

    2. You don't need to replace the battery after 10 years. My 13-year old Tesla Model S in the US still has its original battery and it's still running. The range is lower than new though, but that's to be expected.

    3. You have to take into consideration the extreme heat in the Philippines

    4. The heat in the Philippines is not that far (if not lower) compared to deserts like in the US or Australia and even there the batteries will be fine.

    5. From durability and safety perspectives, research and battery chemistry findings indicate that LFP batteries last from 2 to 3 times longer than NCM/NCA batteries, are much less sensitive to heat, and are much much less prone to exploding or catching on fire due to mechanical damage (punctures included).

For high performance electric motors in vehicles, NCM/NCA batteries are used since they pack higher energy per Kg of weight for better power to weight ratios.

For Non-High Performance vehicles in a tropical climate as that found in the Philippines, LFP battery equipped vehicles
      are the better choice.

  4. Sana po nationwide na ibenta sa lahat ng Ford dealership at nauuso na ang mga Electric at Hybrid Vehicles.

  5. Why is the Mustang Mach-E expensive? It’s already made in China. And it’s more expensive than a Tesla Model Y for instance.
