GAC International Philippines, Inc. marks a new chapter in its electrified mobility journey with the official market launch of the GS8 HEV and the GN8 PHEV at the Manila International Auto Show.

Priced at P 2,488,000 (P 2,338,000 introductory price), the GS8 HEV is engineered to deliver a refined driving experience for those who value sustainability, power, and versatility. Its exterior reflects GAC’s “Star Diamond” design philosophy. A bold, square-edged silhouette gives the GS8 HEV a commanding road presence, highlighted by the “Victory” chrome grille and “Eye of the Conqueror” LED headlamps with a distinctive lighting sequence. It rides on 20-inch aluminum alloy wheels and the “Ruby Diamond” taillights provide a recognizable, multi-dimensional light signature even at night.
Inside, the GS8 HEV offers a 2-3-2 seating configuration finished in premium leather with diamond stitching. The front seats are power-adjustable with memory and ventilation functions for added comfort, while the second row provides generous legroom and flexibility. The third-row features power-folding capability. A panoramic sunroof completes the experience, bringing in natural light and enhancing the sense of space.
The GS8 HEV is powered by GAC’s 2.0T Mega Wave Powertrain paired with the 4th Generation Toyota Hybrid System (THS II), delivering a maximum output of 190 horsepower and 320 Nm of torque. Equipped with an intelligent E-Four 4WD system, the GS8 HEV offers multiple driving modes (Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Off-road). The E-CVT transmission provides a silent and seamless transition between electric and gasoline power, delivering a refined driving experience that sets a new benchmark for hybrid SUVs.
The GS8 HEV integrates advanced technology with everyday convenience through a 14.6-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system paired with a 12.3-inch full LCD instrument cluster. It supports seamless smartphone integration and features a premium 10-speaker Alpine sound system for a rich, immersive audio experience. Comfort is further enhanced by a three-zone climate control system with an air quality management sensor.
The GS8 HEV is equipped with GAC’s latest suite of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems. These include Adaptive Cruise Control, Forward Collision Warning and Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning and Lane Keep Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and a 540-degree HD holographic surround view camera system with transparent chassis view.
Meanwhile, the GN8 PHEV (P 3,388,000 list price; P 3,238,000 introductory). The GN8 PHEV is a seven-seater luxury MPV that blends opulent executive travel with advanced environmental responsibility. Its commanding 5.2-meter presence is defined by a “lion’s mane” front grille, while the interior offers a first-class sanctuary featuring second-row captain’s chairs with heating, ventilation, and massage functions.
The cabin is further refined by a PM2.5 air quality system with an integrated fragrance system and a premium Yamaha sound system, ensuring a pristine and immersive environment for all passengers.
Under the hood, the GN8 utilizes a 2.0-liter plug-in hybrid powertrain delivering over 240 horsepower and a remarkable combined range of up to 1,038 kilometers. It provides 106 km of pure electric driving for silent city commuting and supports fast charging to reach 80 percent in approximately 45 minutes. It is equipped with Level 2 ADAS and a 12.3-inch digital cluster.
