GAC Philippines goes small with the introduction of their newest all-electric compact hatchback: the GAC Aion UT. Featuring the eye-catching “Milanese style,” the Aion UT EV also brings advanced technology and practical daily utility into the picture.
“We are thrilled to bring another global hit from GAC’s line of innovations to the Philippines through the Aion UT,” said Steven Wang, Senior Vice President of GAC International. “This milestone allows us to further serve and diversify our brand offerings in the local mobility scene. We are confident that the Aion UT will bolster dynamic, safe, and sustainable driving for Filipinos upon its entry this 2026.”
Although technically a five-seater compact hatchback, the Aion UT features class-above space thanks to its 2,750 mm wheelbase. This offers 905 mm of legroom, larger than its segment and price competitors. In addition, it has a 440-liter trunk space and 24 cleverly-designed storage compartments.
The GAC Aion UT is powered by a front-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor delivering 136 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque making it perfect for city driving. Energy is stored in a 47.1-kWh lithium-iron phosphate battery enough for a 400-kilometer range (NEDC). The CCS Type 2 supports 6.6 kW of AC charging and 64 kW of DC charging, with the latter topping the battery from 30 to 80 percent in 24 minutes. It also comes with V2L technology.
Agile handling is supported by its front MacPherson Strut and rear Torsion Beam suspension. It rides on 215/60R16 alloy wheels.
Inside, the Aion UT has a tech-forward cabin featuring an 8.88-inch LCD instrument cluster, 14.6-inch center touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, the Aion UT features ADAS with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and a 360-degree Surround View Camera System.
Color-wise, the GAC Aion UT comes in five colors: Champs-Elysees Beige, Emerald Green, Rococo White, and Seine Silver, plus a two-tone combination of Rococo White + Emerald Green.
Customers may now reserve the Aion UT at any GAC dealership which carries a P 1,068,000 price tag. However, an introductory discount of P 50,000 may be availed until June 30, bringing the price to just P 998,000. An additional special promo discount of P 20,000 is available for the first 400 units.
