The 2020 Ford Everest is Finally in the Philippines (/w Specs)

More than 65,000 units sold and three generations later, Ford Philippines launches the new and refreshed version if its best-selling Everest. Available in two variants, it’s now available at all authorized Ford dealerships with a starting price of P 1.995 million.

“The Ford Everest was launched in the Philippine market in 2003, at a time when the demand for SUVs was still on the rise. The Everest redefined the SUV segment with its bold design, advanced technology, and stunning off-road and on-road capabilities,” said PK “Uma” Umashankar, managing director, Ford Philippines.

For the 2020 model year, the Everest packs notable enhancements to its engine, transmission, driver-assist technologies, and convenience features.

At the heart is Ford’s next-generation 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine. Shared with the Ranger Wildtrak and Ranger Raptor, the top-of-the-line Everest Titanium+ 4x4 AT gets a bi-turbo engine packing 213 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque. Meanwhile, the Everest Titanium 4x2 AT gets a single-turbo version with 180 horsepower and 420 Nm of torque. Both engines are mated to a 10-speed automatic promising not just improved refinement, but fuel efficiency and acceleration as well. Cruise control is standard. The Everest Titanium+ 4x4 AT also benefits from 4WD Terrain Management System that maximizes its surefootedness regardless of terrain, ensuring full capability on- and off-road.

Along with the new engine, the 2020 Everest now has smart keyless entry and push-button start/stop across the line-up as well as a hands-free power tailgate that can open and close the hatch with a simple kicking motion of the foot under the rear bumper. On the top-trim Everest Titanium+ 4x4, it receives Active Park Assist that automatically steers the vehicle into a parking space and a panoramic sunroof.

As always, Ford’s SYNC 3 voice-activated infotainment system is standard. Featuring an 8.0-inch touchscreen, it features built-in navigation as well as compatibility with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

For safety, the 2020 Everest comes standard with 7 SRS airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors with reverse camera, electronic stability control, and blind spot information system. The Everest Titanium+ 4x4 AT adds even more in the form of automatic high beam control, hill descent control, lane keeping system, adaptive cruise control, and pre-collision assist with pedestrian detection.

Along with the new drivetrain, added driver-assist technologies, and convenience features, the 2020 Everest also benefits from a slight refresh thanks to a new grille, new 20-inch split-spoke alloy wheels, and a pure black (ebony) interior color.

Finally, in the best bit of news, the refreshed 2020 Everest benefits from lower service maintenance cost with a once a year scheduled service (or every 10,000 kilometers, whichever comes first) instead of current scheme of twice a year.

The new Ford Everest is available in six colors: Absolute Black, Aluminum Metallic, Artic White, Meteor Gray, Sunset Red, and a new shade, Diffused Silver. It comes in two variants, the Everest Titanium 4x2 AT that retails for P 1,995,000, and the Everest Titanium+ 4x4 AT that goes for P 2,299,000.

The refreshed Everest is now available at all Ford dealerships nationwide now, with dealers in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao getting their stocks within the month.

    1. Starting Price is at 1.9 M. So expect up to 2.2M for the top of the Line spec. Best SUV in the market is getting better.

  4. ^If ford can improve their vehicles to become competitive, why cant they do the same with their service? The hawkish sales persons, franchisees and clueless service technicians just dont cut it...

    1. Oh they are not clueless they are just waiting for your warranty. This applies to all car manufacturers not just Ford.

  5. In my opinion, Ford is extremely late in bringing the facelifted everest in the philippines which means the philippines is actually the last country in southeast asia (and the world) to get the facelift everest
