Mitsubishi Ralliart To Make Philippine Comeback At PIMS

After making a global last year, the Philippines will also be getting its first taste of the revived Mitsubishi Ralliart brand. Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has started its tease with a video posted on its social media accounts starting today (check the video below).

Ralliart is Mitsubishi’s iconic brand that had refined the driving performance and style of Mitsubishi vehicles over the years through its participation in the World Rally Championship and the Dakar Rally. Sadly, for fans looking for extra performance, the revived Ralliart will only add accessories to existing products.

Confirmed via the social media post, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines will be offering both the Strada Ralliart and the Montero Sport Ralliart both equipped with special accessories, including side decals with red, silver and black stripes, and red mud flaps reminiscent of its historic rally cars, and other exterior and interior accessories with the Ralliart logo.

While the official Philippine spec models have yet to be revealed, a quick look at what Thailand has will be reflective of what will arrive to local showrooms.

Starting first with the Montero Sport Ralliart, it will receive front and rear under garnishes with red accents and the Ralliart logo. Exclusive to the two-tone color model are black fender arch moldings, black roof rails, black shark fin antenna, and black tailgate spoiler.

Things should more interesting with the Strada Ralliart. So far, Thailand—the first market to get the revived Ralliart brand—has gotten one based off low rider variants (see photos above). However, based on the teaser video, the Philippines will stand to get the high-riding version—a world first. Expect it to gain the same front bumper garnished with red accents and a bed liner with the Ralliart logo. It may also stand to get black door mirrors, black door handles, black rear tailgate handle, and a black rear bumper.

In markets such as Australia, however, their yet-to-be-launched Strada Ralliart 4WD offers more differentiation. Based on patent filings it comes with extended fender flares and side moldings. It also looks to sport a styling bar that wraps from the roof all the way to the pickup bed.

  1. Similar to GR Sport vehicles of Toyota then..Understandable as Mitsubishi doesn't have enough money to produce high performance vehicles as they're moving hybrid vehicles

    1. Yes, just pure accessories. I expect Mitsubishi to move to a direction where Nissan is heading.
