Isuzu PH Issuing Recall On 2020-2022 mu-X And D-Max

Isuzu Philippines Corporation is issuing a recall on select D-Max and mu-X models due to a loose lower second steering shaft bolt.

In a statement, Isuzu says the special service campaign covers 2,273 units composed of 1,579 mu-X and 694 D-Max. These models were produced from 2020 to October 2022.

In these vehicles, the second steering shaft bolt may not have been tightened to their specified torque value. Given the road conditions in the Philippines, the steering shaft may possibly loosen in time.

Isuzu is taking the initiative and will inspect and, if necessary, retighten the affected bolt. The inspection and tightening will take less than two hours and it will be free of charge.

  1. I hope Isuzu releases a new variant soon to replace the mu-X.
