Chery Auto Philippines reports that two of its key crossover models, the Tiggo 5X and the Tiggo 8 Pro were largely responsible for their sales growth for the first quarter of 2023.
According to the brand and corroborated by industry reports from CAMPI-TMA, Chery reports that sales are up 85 percent in Q1 2023 compared to the same period last year.
Moreover, Chery Auto Philippines is confident of hitting or even surpassing its sales targets for 2023.
The Tiggo 5X sold a total of 331 units in Q1 2023, or a 75 percent growth compared to last year. Meanwhile, the Tiggo 8 Pro sold a total of 128 units, or a 86 percent growth from just 69 units last year.
“We are proud to be able to offer the styling, prices, and technology that even the most discriminating Filipino car buyers are looking for,” said Chery Auto Philippines chairman Rommel Sytin. “People need reliable, safe yet affordable mobility and we have the right mix of value-packed models with luxury, comfort, and safety features to suit any need or budget,” he added.
Furthering Chery’s sales momentum, the brand is offering the Summer Blazing Tiggo Deals promo. Running until June 30, it offers affordable and easy-own deals such as all-in down payments as low as P 28,888, monthy amortizations as low as P 7,796, and outright cash savings as much as P 130,000, depending on the model.

The older Chery Tiggo 5X did move and sell a lot of units months ago due to zero downpayment plans and huge cash discounts they've offered for it

Chery Tiggo 8 Pro did sell well last year as its way much powerful and safer than the more expensive Geely Okavango
Now the Okavango somewhat recovered its sales.
