GAC Motor PH Drops Price Of EMKOO SUV To P 1.298M

GAC Motor Philippines announces new retail pricing for the Emkoo as a gesture of gratitude to its valued customers in celebration of the brand’s fifth year in the country.

Effective today, the new retail price of the Emkoo will be P 1,498,000 for the top-of-the-line GL variant and P 1,298,000 for the GE variant. The new retail price will also apply to customers who reserved the compact crossover in April when it was launched at the 2023 Manila International Auto Show (MIAS).

“GAC Motor has always been at the forefront of technological innovation to build cars that are high quality, exceptionally durable, and great to drive. The Emkoo embodies these principles, and our new retail pricing makes this remarkable vehicle even more accessible to a wider audience of Filipino customers who want style, comfort, and technological advancements in a reliable SUV,” said Jun Cajayon, brand head of GAC Motor, Astara Philippines.

Launched last month at the MIAS, the Emkoo is an ultra-modern five-seater compact SUV that impresses with its future-forward design and cutting-edge technologies. Its overall design is futuristic and inspired by sci-fi elements.

The Emkoo is equipped with various safety features, such as multiple airbags, electronic stability program, hill start hold and hill descent controls, and a tire pressure monitoring system to name a few. Powered by a 1.5 GDI turbo petrol engine, it delivers a 177 horsepower and 270 Nm of torque, paired with a quick-shifting, seven-speed wet-type dual clutch automatic.

Emkoo is available in five colors: Star Lake Green, Snow White, Moonlight Grey, Superstar Silver and Elegant Black.

Marking the occasion GAC Motor dealers across the country will hold special Emkoo launches and test drives on the following dates to herald the start of retail sales:
  • May 27 – Pasig
  • June 3 – Bacoor, Makati and Tarlac
  • June 10 – Cainta, E. Rodriguez, Pampanga and Quezon Avenue
  • June 16 – Davao
  • June 17 – Alabang, Manila Bay and Iloilo
  • July 30 – Batangas City, Butuan, Cebu and Lipa City
Within seven months since the brand’s relaunch in January, the company’s dealer network has been on hypergrowth, with the number of operational dealerships rapidly increasing from four to fifteen by end of July.

“We remain committed to give all our customers unparalleled experience with not just our vehicles but more importantly through our dealerships. We are doing great progress towards expanding our nationwide presence to 20 dealers in 2023 to reach more customers from Luzon to Mindanao,” added Cajayon.
