Great Wall PH Now Offers A 7-Year or 200K-Kilometer Bumper-To-Bumper Warranty

Luxuriant Automotive Group, Inc. (LAGI), the exclusive distributor of Great Wall Motor vehicles in the Philippines announces once of the most aggressive warranty coverages for new vehicles in the country.

Starting January 1, 2024, all vehicles sold by LAGI—the Haval Jolion, Haval H6, GWM Canon, and GWM Tank come with a 7-year or 200,000-kilometer bumper-to-bumper warranty for as long as the applicable periodic maintenance schedule or PMS is followed.

All GWM vehicles must be initially serviced on its first year or after 10,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Succeeding services have an interval of one year or 15,000 kilometers, whichever comes first. Haval vehicles operating under extreme conditions (security, industrial, mining vehicles and those in the same nature) must be serviced every 5,000 kilometers.

On top of that, the powertrain is covered for a period of 10 years or 1 million kilometers (first owner only). Electrified vehicles, such as the Haval Jolion HEV and the Haval H6 HEV, meanwhile, get an 8-year or 200,000-kilometer warranty for its traction battery, motor, and motor control system.

This warranty program is quite an upgrade from the previous GWM coverage of 5 years or 150,000 kilometers (bumper-to-bumper).

This generous and extensive warranty coverage is a sign of Great Wall Motor’s faith in the reliability and durability of their vehicles. In addition, it is meant to give owners added peace of mind, especially in the long run.

Together with this announcement, LAGI says they are embarking on an aggressive dealership expansion program in 2024. Currently, GWM has six dealerships—UN Avenue, SM North EDSA, Ortigas, Makati, Cagayan de Oro, and Alabang. There are plans to expand this to 20 locations by the end of 2024, including two previously announced dealership locations in Davao and General Santos City.

  2. It's a good move to ease buyer's reluctance in purchasing a made in China
car. It worked for the Koreans when they entered the US market though they never offered a 7 yrs warranty here in our market. But GWM or other Chinese brands that will follow should make sure their cars are up to it. 7 yrs + 10 yrs extended motor warranty is really long even reliable Toyota's would start to break some parts after the 5th year. This is a really really good deal.

You're right. The 3 years and 100,000 km refers to the paint and infotainment system. I've updated the article to refer to the 5 years or 150,000 km bumper to bumper.
