Celebrate The Lunar New Year With These Workshops At Lexus At Mitsukoshi BGC


Continue to attract prosperity, good health, and fortune as Lexus allows guests to experience amazing to celebrate the Year of the Wooden Dragon at Lexus at Mitsukoshi BGC this Saturday, February 17 to Sunday, February 18 (sign up for the workshops here).

Lexus guests can watch a dragon dance and participate in several activities such as a Tea 101 Workshop conducted by Sheryl Martinez, Tea Sommelier and Founder of Teavolution PH, as she will do a lecture on history and origin of tea and a demo on Chinese Gonfu Cha Ritual. They can also do a tea tasting of a selection of premium Teavolution Ph Chinese teas and view a display of tea and ceramics. A devout Tea practitioner, Ms Sheryl Ebon-Martinez has spent the last 10 years learning and teaching the virtues of Camellia sinensis or the tea leaf.

Apart from the tea ceremony activities, guests can also take part in a pottery workshop by Wabi Sabi Pottery Studio where they can learn how to make their own teacups. The hour-long session will teach participants the benefits of clay play, on how to glaze ceramics, and will also allow them to paint their own teacups. After the session, guests will dry, bisque fire, glaze, and fire your own teacup. Pieces will be sent separately after the workshop.

Wabi Sabi is a proud Manila-based ceramic studio that produces hand crafted ceramic ware and trinkets, all inspired by the beauty of imperfection.

Lastly, Shanghai Saloon will also host a culinary experience as they will teach guests on the art of making homemade dumpling wrappers from scratch. They will learn how to roll, fold, and shape dumplings that pair perfectly with any filling.
