2024 Honda BR-V N7X Edition Is The Closest Thing To A BR-V RS That We'll Get

If there’s one Honda vehicle that’s yet to get the RS treatment, it’s the BR-V. Though it may be a bit out of character for a 7-seater SUV to get sportified, that hasn’t stopped Honda from coming out with the next best thing: the BR-V N7X Edition.

Mind you, this is still not a full-blown BR-V RS, but it comes close. Best yet, it’s available across the entire range, at least in its launch market of Indonesia for an additional IDR 10 million more (P 35,777).

The name, N7X, commemorates the second-generation BR-V’s name when it was officially a concept car. At the time, it was developed through a series of research conducted by Honda R&D Asia Pacific on the use of SUVs by families, particularly on ASEAN road conditions.

The BR-V N7X Edition gets a new color—Sand Khaki Pearl apart from Opal White Premium Crystal Black Pearl, and Meteoroid Gray Metallic.

From there, Honda added an exclusive aero kit consisting of a front under spoiler, side under spoiler, rear under spoiler, and dark chrome emblems. The front grille has also been changed, while the LED fog light housing now sports a chrome garnish.

Akin to other RS models, the BR-V N7X Edition adds high-gloss black accents. Here, it’s found on the sideview mirror (power retractable, of course), door handles, tailgate spoiler, and shark fin antenna. The alloy wheels have also been transformed with a black finish, complemented by extended wheel arch protectors.

Inside, the BR-V N7X Edition remains pretty much a bog-standard BR-V down to the same leather steering wheel and seats. Likewise, mechanically, the BR-V N7X Edition is the same as the regular BR-V down to the 1.5-liter DOHC i-VTEC engine with 121 horsepower and 145 Nm of torque mated to a CVT transmission.

Given the popularity of the BR-V in the Philippines, here’s hoping that Honda Cars Philippines would also offer the BR-V N7X Edition even if it’s just for a limited time.

  1. Looks very good but HCPI doesn't need it as the lineup of BRV is already okay
