The Suzuki Dzire Hybrid GLX CVT and the Suzuki Fronx Hybrid SGX AT both posted strong performances at the Department of Energy (DOE) 2025 Fuel Eco-Run held at the Tarlac–Pangasinan–La Union Expressway (TPLEX).

The DOE Fuel Eco-Run aims to promote fuel efficiency awareness among motorists and encourage automotive manufacturers to develop vehicles that help reduce fuel consumption and emissions. Suzuki participated under the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) category, showcasing two of its fuel-efficient hybrid models in the Philippine market.

Based on the official results released by the DOE, the Suzuki Dzire Hybrid GLX CVT achieved an impressive 36.10 km/Lge gasoline-equivalent fuel economy, highlighting its class-leading efficiency for daily city and long-distance driving. Meanwhile, the Suzuki Fronx Hybrid SGX AT recorded a strong 24.69 km/Lge, underscoring the model’s balance of performance, style, and fuel efficiency for modern, active lifestyles.

The Department of Energy has adopted the km/Lge standard which measures consumption on a “kilometers per liter of gas equivalent.” While gas-powered vehicles have a 1 L to 1 Lge equivalent, diesel-fed vehicles, have a 1L diesel to 1.077 Lge conversion. Meanwhile, electric vehicles will have a 1 Lge to 8.89 kWh conversion.
