Reservations for the BYD Seal 5 DM-i and Atto 2 are now open ahead of their official Philippine launch at the BYD Tech Tour Trinoma this July 28.
First previewed at the Manila International Auto Show (MIAS) in April, the all-new BYD Atto 2 is set to become the newest addition to BYD's growing lineup. It’s available with two powertrains, the DM-i plug-in hybrid and battery electric vehicle, in three variants: the Atto 2 EV Premium, Atto 2 DM-i Premium, and Atto 2 DM-i Dynamic.
Designed for value-driven, practical, and aspirational motorists, the BYD Atto 2 makes electrified mobility more accessible than ever.
Joining it as part of a double launch is the new BYD Seal 5 DM-i. It builds on the success on the current model with refreshed styling and enhanced features. Offered in Dynamic and Essential variants, the newly facelifted model offers Filipino motorists experience electrified mobility without range anxiety. Powered by BYD’s DM-i technology, it provides an efficient and practical mobility solution for first-time car owners, families, and even fleet operators.
Variants aside, BYD Cars Philippines has yet to reveal the full specs of the three models. However, you can check them out based on filings done with the Department of Energy (Atto 2 EV, Atto 2 DM-i, and Seal 5 DM-i).

The coming Atto 2 DM-i should be priced competitively as the Xpeng L03 PHEV/REEV TOTL will be launched before year end.
ReplyDeleteThe L03 above will have about 315Km CLTC pure EV range derived from its its 37.2Kw battery and 1,300Km total range. I'm guessing but the target price should be between P1.05M & P1.15M.

I think the Atto 2 DM-i is a compelling alternative to XForce Hybrid and the reason why Mitsubishi is accelerating the launch of the latter in SE Asia.
