Hyundai Establishes Operations In Malaysia; Confirms Production For ASEAN Markets

Three years after Hyundai Motor Company took direct control of its Philippine operations, they’re doing the same over in neighboring Malaysia. The move will have global implications as the Korean automaker is lining up Malaysia to join its global assembly footprint.

Hariphil Asia Resources, Inc. (HARI), the official distributor of Hyundai commercial vehicles in the Philippines, has been honored with the prestigious Commercial Vehicle (CV) Sales Excellence Award by Hyundai Motor Company Asia Pacific. The honor, which reaffirms HARI’s leadership in the Philippine transport sector, was conferred during the 2025 Hyundai Motor Asia Pacific Regional Partners Convention.

Honda Cars Philippines and Honda Philippines—the country’s distributor of Honda’s four- and two-wheeled vehicles, respectively, held a joint One Honda Road Safety event as part of its reaffirmation to have zero traffic fatalities involving its automobiles and motorcycles by 2050.
