Hyundai is Going to Beat Nissan at Introducing the Philippines's First EV

It looks like Nissan won’t have honor of bringing in the Philippines’s first-ever electric vehicle (at least officially). It seems Hyundai Asia Resources, Inc. or HARI will beat them to the punch and get this, it’ll be a crossover—a body style that Filipino buyers just love.

As carmakers continue to churn out more and more crossovers, segment overlaps and increasingly niche positionings become inevitable. Sometimes, a crossover once deemed alright may find itself falling through the cracks as the market pie keeps on getting smaller and smaller. This is a story about one of them: the 2019 Honda HR-V 1.8 E.

Here’s hoping Manila Water gets to fix our water supply problem before electric vehicles get here. Why you ask? Well, because if an EV catches fire, you’re going to need a lot of water of put out the flames.

It looks like Mitsubishi is dead serious about making an ultimate version of its Strada / L200 / Triton pickup truck. Instead of just showing off the L200 Mountain Rescue Concept, which, admittedly looks a bit sissy right now, the Japanese automaker has come up with this: a carbon fiber clad pickup truck called the Strada Absolute (Triton Absolute in Thailand).
